Videos - Battlemage and Wildhunter

LiquidSwing Wrote:Hell, THIS should be the next "MAJOR CONTENT OMG" patch. Just that lol. A complete re-haul of the entire magic atk formula to be more in line with the melee w. atk formula. Then a massive overhaul of all skills that have to do with magic damage.

I'd actually play a caster if they did that.

If they changed the magic damage formula they would most likely also change the weapon attack formula making it even more unbalanced.

ScherzoDeLuce Wrote:sry but the panther is really ugly.
the design & the colour, is just ugly.
and the size is too big, should be a lil bit smaller to make it look nice with your char, maybe about the same size as aran's wolf mount.

Completely agreed. The panther is slow, too. It doesn't look like the speed differs too much from regular walking, with the exception of that mini flash jump shown later in the clip.
That aside, these classes look very tacky. They should have just stopped with Pirates. Hell, even Arans were alright. But then things kept getting flashier and tackier, and now we have a class that gets its own mini-strafe at level 10, along with an oversized panther. The fact that they're wielding a crossbow, of all weapons, is like salt in the wounds.

To be blunt, I hope this never comes to GMS.

The panther becomes faster as you level the skill.
Of course it will come to GMS ._.

Crossbowmen should be ok, aside from weapon price inflation. RIP bowmasters.

Heroes are still pretty popular.

well assuming this class gets it's own crit, you can say goodbye to bowmasters too because not only do they have hurricane AND SE, they also have self HB, which makes surviving all that much easier for them.

That was difficult to watch, are these new players doing the testing? At least TRY not to get hit so often by the critters you choose to train on.

I don't think I'd ever make one of these my main but worth testing for fun. Big Grin

It's actually pretty hard to use triple blow and the chain skill effectively at least in 1st job. Battle mages use the same mechanics as arans (skills are cached and activate when possible). WH's DO NOT HAVE PASSIVE CRIT.

what is paladin? O_o

nexon should remove paladin from database, so it would make maple smaller ^_^

on-topic, now we all know why staff have matk and accuray, that class will need it

Don't worry people, Nexon will wind up doing another balance patch for Adventurer classes after they've gotten enough people to make these new classes and buy cs equipment for them.

Well the gameplay looks new and fresh, finally no magic claw syndrome for magicians anymore Tongue

The monster rider + attack = really innovative in maple terms, if only Evans would have been that way... :o

And this is what is going to make them a meh kind of class, imo. They would need a decent amount of speed attacks to make up for no crits.

Well that's okay. If people weren't going to bandwagon Wild Hunter, I'd have the option of a high-HP SE mule, do want.

FrozNlite Wrote:Battlemage looks hella weak. They just need to stop making Magic-based classes, or overhaul the magic damage formula.

all 1st job classes (or 1x - 2x) seems kinda weak.......they need their buffs and skills to make them look appealing....

^Video's broken.

Is this definitely the case for all levels 1-200? What's to stop them from getting it later than the other archers? I'll wait for further confirmation.
