A beggars drawings

Okayso, might start posting some of the stuff I draw here, as gathering both specific positive and specific negative feedback (as in, not "awesome" or "it sucks", reasoningplz) from various sources is important if I ever want to improve.

First small "batch":

First finished piece in SAI, took a while to figure out how to use it. Personally I like how the outlining and background came out, but other than that, minor details on targa were missed out and the shading is kind of weak given the surroundings.

Took less time than the previous, also found out the watercolour brush works well when scribbling smoke of all colours. Not nearly as detailed and finished as I'd like it to be, but eh. Also, not sure if the shading/perspective is consistent, been staring at it too long. I don't think I portrayed the huge kinetic force of the lazer that I had in mind very well either.

Um, done in MS Paint while waiting for a CWKPQ a while back. Not much to say here, other than I saved it as a JPEG by accident so the quality isn't great.

Well, the Targar outline could most likely be smoothed out. It seems a little rigid and takes away from the rounded effect that the head gives off.

That makes sense lol, also noticed how shaky it is, even though I used the pen tool to draw it (would also probably account for the rigidity, the line is kind of thick in places for its purpose, looking at it again).

Double posting from the grave, moar stuff, mostly unfinished. Excuse the sizes, I never bothered to resize them to non-hscroll-breaking size.

Is a phonebox. In the middle of nowhere. With no phone. Personally wish the colouring job and outlines were cleaner but oh well.

Thrown up to try my hand at colouring. That didn't turn out so great but oh well, learning from mistakes, etc. etc.

Wasn't trying for the wierd goblin-type thing but blah, just the way it turned out. Apparently according to a friend the torso is too short, I dunno if I'm seeing it though.

Tried to go for a 2h-BW WK taking a mace to a dual ghost pirate. Also tried to make the figure look feminine. Not sure if I succeeded there, I'm not used to drawing females :x.

Line-art of my I/L AM. Want to colour it some day, but currently have no idea where to start.

Not the shiniest of updates, but it's been a while since I attacked my tablet with the pen, infact a while since I dared to draw people at all (purging my computer/life of maple temporarily has given me at least 8 hours of extra free time a day :|), so just shuffling my way around in the dark (again). Also, L> colouring skillz.

She needs a smaller waist, wider hips, and no hint of junk at her crotch. :x

I really like the phonebox drawing. Is it supposed to be post-apocalyptic or a humorously designed spaceship? Those are the only two possible scenarios my mind came up with so I'm obviously not thinking outside the box enough.

For the Scar/Targ, the proportions are more in line for humans. If thats what you were aiming for, disregard this, other wise I think thye need to be more squat and a bit more girth in the belly. Either way, they are really nice, aand well put together.

It's not often that I go into a drawing with a fixed idea of what I want to draw. Pretty sure my only thought on that picture was "phonebox in the middle of nowhere". When I got around to it, I got lazy on it and decided to have someone nick the phone. No particular scene was planned for it, it just turned out that way.

Also LOLjunk (steroids maybe), B> girl drawing skillz as well as colouring skillz ;(. Time to get practicing that.

Edit: Yeah, they're more humanesque, but only because I found it hard to make scarlion and targa look remotely menacing if I kept their actual proportions. Without their crazy attacks as a reminder and their in-game proportions, they'd just look um, poofy and ill-equipped to do anything other than be hugged (if I drew them anyway).

Small contribution + double post + huge necropost in progress. Drew the base figure randomly today after not touching my tablet for weeks, then got asked to draw this character so decided to put it to use. Most prevalent are the rushed colour job and scruffy outlines along with shrinkage upon uploading (original is 1400x800). Also no percievable eyelids.

Looks sweet! You were right, my new NX is gonna look really greyyy. xD

Looking at it again with fresh eyes, can see tons more errors. I'll remember those as and when I draw another piece, whenever that may be. Not touching this again lol

I would say that the phonebox pic is perfect except maybe it could use something in the sky?
