Hello friends. I've been meaning to make a recommendation thread for myself a while now and am tired of watching mediocre junk but I usually don’t like what people recommend. So I’m making a general recommendation thread for avid anime watchers and closet otakus where anyone can recommend anyone anything or recommend against (anime reference thread, if you will).

I'm going to ask that if you want a title on the list, please post it in this format:

I don't really recommended Pokemon unless you're really tolerant of the stupidity it provides. Once in a while they'll throw out an amazing episode that makes it worth while though.

-Rumbling Hearts (mostly drama, very little nudity, some romance)

Recommending ones that are yet to be up:
-Escaflowne (Every time someone forgets about how awesome of a series this was, it makes me want to punch them in the face. I remembered this one time irl, a dude asked me if I watched certain animes. I nodded, then I asked "Have you seen Escaflowne?", he paused for a 2 seconds and was like "OH F*CK YEAH!!!!". When someone IRL knows about this, makes me feel really good, bro. If they don't, I just stop talking with them.)

EHHH.. I 2nd that on Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, still an ongoing series, and it's great. B Gata H Kei, I do watch pretty much every week, but there's been no real major progress, and it's just one of those anime I watch that I'm not overly into. /opinion

Same goes for One Piece, Naruto, and most of the newer stuff that I enjoy watching, but won't recommend. So yes:

Updated up to Johnson's post (haven't included secondings yet). Thread got posted in 5 times when I was adding in Dyxanije and Spidey's list. Also, will be breaking it list into the show's "main" genre. It came out bigger than expected.

Might try reading the VN for this sometime to see if it's just a bad adaptation. Don't have too many high hopes about it, and since it's untranslated I have less reason to try it out,

No, it's the same thing. The series itself was released with an English title, so I used that. If a series got an English title added after its release (when it was licensed in the US or something) I usually don't use that name since I'm more used to its Japanese name.
