Uh, buy the PSP 3000 instead. For real. The Go only has 16 GB of memory. Everything else is superior on the regular PSP. The controls, the buttons, the screen, everything is better.

You can download games from the PSN store on both. If you were asking about, you know, downloading games illegally, you can't do it on either of them. If the last case is yours, we can't talk about this here. Maybe on PMs.

Confirming Rob's opinion: The Go sucks. Something he didn't mention was the price. The Go is more than $100 more expensive than the 3000, but there's nothing it can do that the 3000 can't do just as well if not better. Go can't even play UMDs.

Quick comparison:

3000's = UMDs + Downloadable games (purchased or free DLCs, etc)
Go = ???? Uhhh . . internal storage that is 16 GB, it's Flash mem, and also no capacity for UMDs. Downloads only. Problem here? UMDs = forever. Downloads = max of 5 per purchase.

If you know what you're doing, yes. I would personally recommend getting a PSP 2000 and hacking it. The PSP go just sucks.

The odds are 9 to 1 he will fail. 3000s are a pain in the ass and you're better off buying games that a new PSP after you brick it.
