omgomgomgomg. Bad Romance and Poker Face yessssss.

EDIT: Eh, Bad Romance is too similar to the real one. and Poker Face isn't bad. I'm glad they did the slow version.

EDIT 2: Err, why is she singing with Rachel on Poker Face!?!?
EDIT 3: That's who I think it is, isn't it? Or is it a new character?

Fix'd. Thanks again for those who pointed that out.

@EDIT: I agree, and I personally LOVE Gaga's acoustic version of Pokerface over the original, and hearing Lea and Idina duet it is just phenomenal.

@EDIT 2: Perhaps the same reason they duet "I Dreamed a Dream" and changed the words around to indicate the potential that Shelby is Rachel's surrogate mother.

@EDIT 3: Yes, Idina Menzel is playing Shelby Cocoran (sp), the director of Vocal Adrenaline. Considering she bears an uncanny resemblance both in physical appearance and vocal sound to Lea Michele, it's rumored (and honestly, with the way they're setting everything up, most likey going to be) that she's, again, Rachel's surrogate mother. Which, of course, would be a fabulous twist.

So, did Rachel not say that her Dads could not sew? I hated the first half of this episode, but it redeemed itself with Shout it Out Loud and the Poker Face duet. Story is kinda wrapping up, but I don't know if the whole, "I don't like your clothes, so I am going to beat the pomegranate out of you" lines that kept happening. I know they were pushing anti-homophobia through Kurt and Finn, but it took control of the episode for me and was too much of a distraction from Quinn discovering herself.

Can you elaborate upon the plot of Quinn discovering herself? Are you referring to the multi-episode personality changes she's undergone since getting kicked off the Cheerios?

Also, I completely agree with you on the anti-homophobia bits. I think they're excellently done and all send different, but powerful messages regarding the various ways homophobia manifests itself, but MAN. It's getting old. Let's get on with ANOTHER facet of the plot plz.

Oh wow. Loved the number selections for the finale. All out Journey, followed by BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY.

Now the long wait until next season... ):

Awesome season finale. A nice attempt at being a tear-jerker, too.

Definitely one of the best season finales I've seen in a while. Heck, I think it was potentially better than this season's finale for Desperate Housewives. Excellent writing that wrapped up story lines, through in some fantastic twists, wonderful music, typical awesome Sue....it was just a phenomenal episode of Glee all around.

To everyone who has been active here, I want to say thank you for taking this journey with myself and all the others (as corny as that sounds). Glee really is a unique, amazing show, and while some may feel very differently, anything can impact people in profound ways, depending on the type of person and the vessel of change. Not many of us will probably say this show "changed our lives," but who knows what it has meant for others around the world? Gay teens struggling with accepting themselves, office romances and rivalries...the bottom line is that this show is about real life (though greatly embellished), and imagining our real lives without it now that it is so much a part of what we know is simply out of the question.

As our lives change year by year, specifically here on Southperry on June 15th, I'd like to formally announce that, as of right now, I'm unsure if I will continue to maintain this thread if the site continues to exist. It's not that it's a difficult burden on my life or anything, but I've given the idea much thought and am currently deciding if I want to leave the site along with many others with the coming head admin change. I'll post back here soon once I officially know, but if I do decide to leave and others would like to continue this thread, I can help pass along any code, etc. to the next person.

Thanks again for everything, everyone!

I agree that the Glee finalle is better than the DH finale mainly because of the music but i didnt like that there wasnt a cliff hanger.I think i expected some cliff hanger after i watched the Vamp Diaries and Greys finale which were action packed but those are based on different genres.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR SECOND SEASON NOW.

And the best part?

Quote:New characters: Says Murphy, regarding Kurt's potential boyfriend: “I just want him to be an everyday dude. And I want him to be sort of struggling [with his sexuality] and Kurt helps him deal with it and in the process they fall for each other.”
