Aran Job Quest 'Revealing Secrets' unable to finish? (and side question)

There's an under 40's job quest called Revealing Secrets, where it revolves around finding out who beat up Chief Stan and took his trophy thing, which then links to the actual storyline and black mage etc etc. I've check all over, hiddenstreet and sleepywood and every website. There HAS been threads on this on other forums, although nobody had answered them unless they were saying 'me too'. The problem is, I need to talk to Silence the Wolf because he is apparently the person doing it all, but when I talk to him he merely says 'would you like some training'? or something like that. He acts like the passerby NPC that you ignore. I have done everything correctly, double checked, triple, but to no avail. Has anybody been able to complete this?

PS. As a not-so-important side question, why do i not get a Mapler ring? D: I've check my Cash Shop multiple times, I feel lonely DD:

The rings are for GMS, if I understood what you were talking about.

I'm pretty sure you have to go see Luke the security guard before seeing Silence of the Wolf.

If you have done this, then perhaps you have surpassed the level limit of 40?

^ True, you do have to go to luke, then kill a jr.necki called 'parasite' then take the badge, then go to luke again, then go to chief stan, then go to perion and talk to silence the wolf I'm currently lv24 and have done all of those things.

Maybe they want you to level up.

Ah, but there was a guy who posted a similar question and said that the thing that sucks was that he was level 39, if he levelled up once more, he would be unable to do the quest. I'm also pretty sure this is a compulsory quest that advances the storyline, so if I do not do it... DD: Aren't there any arans here that have done it? :/
