Did you skip school on Tuesday for 2x?

I'm not in school. And I can't exactly skip being a Soldier.

Noooo way. Even though I'm not playing as much as I used to, I can't afford to skip due to the importance of my classes .__.
Missing even one class causes me to have to catch up on a lot usually.

I skipped school for Cubs opening day Baseball games every year from 3rd grade through Senior year of high school.

I've skipped lunch but not school.

On the other hand, a friend of mine decided to do the full 12 hours (they're in europe somewhere), and planned to stay up all night on 4x, and going to class the next day without sleep.

People actually skip school to play this game?

So yeah, as far back as I can remember, this is the first extended 2x event that is happening on a weekday (Tuesday/5/11/10). This sparked the question in my alliance, "How many people would skip school for a 12 hour 2x event that runs through school hours? (for most people)"

Personally, I went to school without a debate. This is a very unusual day for an event like this though.

Actually, last year's big 36 hour event started mid-day Sunday, the day before the actual GMS anniversary, and then lasted for the full 24 hours on the 11th. Considering GMS loves to create such massive 2x events on their anniversary, which coincides with AP exam weeks and finals weeks for most colleges/universities, I would seriously hope no one skips and kills their chances at better grades on either.

And regardless, thirding Khoi's post. I will say I played hookey once three years ago to finish a project, and ended up playing Maple all day, and I can recall the stress and guilt like no other. Never. again.

School/work > that stupid ass game.

I was at work, and due to my timezone missed out on it, but i think alot of the people that said yes are pullin quick ones, i used to skip school all the time first year i played maple, back then i was in last year of high school and classes where alloted by picking up magnets thowing them at a metal time table and hoping some stuck.

point is, at some point in your maple carrier you have taken a rain check on one of the following...

Going out with friends
Going to work
Going to School/Uni
Meals


Yes, you could say that its unhealthy but frankly thats what gamers do. we put long hours into virtual pleasure. i find it hard to belive only 1 person said yes. and i would like to commend that person.

Nope, because my only college class for today was canceled. Even if it wasn't canceled, it would have only eaten into 2-3 hours of 2x anyways. Maple in general is totally not worth skipping anything for.

I say good riddance to bad rubbish. If you skipped school for that, you probably weren't going to accomplish much in life anyways.

Why would anyone want to participate in the event anyways? They are usually a huge lagfest.

The event lasts 12 hrs. I don't see why you cold just play after class.
