Where are you guys at on your Heart Gold/Soul Silver playthrough?

I'm basically done, just training my teams up. So far a Lv 100 Typhlosion, 99 Leafeon, 86 Arcinine and others fill my inventory slots.


Oh yea, 2 Lv 78 Diddos in my PT ome

I asked my friend to evolve my Eevee into a Glaceon, get choice scarf (+speed) and ice beam the pomegranate out of his team.

Works better on the rematch, cause 4/6 of his team is 4x weak to ice.

Going to try to defeat Palmer again today. Had some more Wobuffet fun: 38-43201-87675.

Question: How many people here save Battle Videos and/or upload them to the WFC? I might make a Battle Video thread (similar to the Shoddy Log thread). Also, how long do they videos stay on the WFC?

Decided to get a dual screener, but I can't choose (as always).

Do you have mule Pokemon you can switch between Kurtle? I guess I was very lucky with my first match against Lance, because my team going in was Lv. 46 Ampharos, Lv. 46 Typhlosion, and Lv. 48 Alakazam, as well as Lv. 45 Lugia, Lv. 40 Raikou, and Lv. 31 Red Gyarados. I had no advantages against any of the Dragonites, so my main three got raped hardcore. However, I would use the legendaries as walls to spam Revives and Hyper Potions at the main three, rinse and repeat. It takes a lot longer and costs a lot, but eventually you beat him on one try without needing to grind the core team.

My 41 streak at the Battle Hall was ended by a Shedinja. Forgot teaching Electivire a move to kill those, and Choice Scarf didn't help. Going to try and get something else with insane type coverage. Got defeated by Palmer again too.

Currently trying to get munchlaxes and beldums for fun. Also, adamant horseas (kingdra, woo!)

Attempting to complete my Pokedex before Black and White come out. I hate the leveling pokemon so they can evolve part though.

Didn't play for at least a week. I guess I'm losing interest in gaming overall.

On the note of the frontier: RIGGED GAME IS RIGGED! i have not yet, to date, been able to get past 36 wins in the arcade, and on my 22nd battle in the castle? lost. never got to 21 again since. have only just started the tower, and so far im at 14 wins, wary to go for the 21st fight against the tycoon, but after reading on TVTropes it seems a lot of others have the same game is a cheating bastard issues that i have had, some even worse than me.

even this is saddening. i had used a wondertomb in the battle hall, the one where its one poke in ten battles. i was busy at the time so i just kept mashing "a" on the DS, choosing a flying-type attack and constantly fighting a bug-type opponent. somehow, and to this day i wont know how, i lost at match #9. i was watching a movie iirc, but yeah. immediately afterwards, i rage-released said wondertomb, and have not gone back to the battle hall since.

its not so much that im afraid of going into the tower, its that i dont like it out of the 5 facilities. its straight fights, and id rather go for the ones with the odd quirks and gimmicks. why im only at 14 so far is because i keep going to the arcade and castle. my FEAR-smeargle is providing fun times in the tower.

Battle Tower and Battle Factory are the only ones I've ever had any success in, personally. Probably related to the fact that those two along with the Battle Dome were my favourite facilities in Emerald. I never liked the Pike, but it was damn easy, I completed it every time I went in AFAIK.

Battle Pike was the best of all the quirky attractions IMO. there was no real great strategy to it outside of the battles, it was purely luck. 3 doors, 3 choices. 7 rooms, 7 chances. loved it.

Just got to Cerulean City.
