Where are you guys at on your Heart Gold/Soul Silver playthrough?
Arrived at the Elite Four. Rival at the end of the Victory Road was easy, but I can only beat Will with use of potions, can get to his Slowbro without tough.
Xatu somehow turned into a beast, I guess training Natu all the time finaly paid off. Got all Pokémon from Winner's Path except Munchlax too, guess I'll be going for items now.

Current team:
-Ledian, Lv 47
-Dunsparce, Lv 48
-Delibird, Lv 48
-Xatu, Lv 49

Just managed to beat red 8D Trying to raise my dragonite to level 100.. 4 levels to go. +_+

The battle factory is a vengeful monster. Got knocked out the 1st battle after I got the silver print.

Trained Swellow to Lv.100, decided to take on the Battle Tower for some BP, and was surprised when I ran into Palmer (I got owned because I U-Turned to Porygon-Z instead of Infernape, otherwise I could've won). Rhyperior was left with an 1 pixel line of HP after Swellows Facade, and then I got killed by Rock Wrecker.

Looking for a new Pokémon to breed/train. I'd like something defensive that can work well on any team, but I can't really choose.

Also, for those with Pt/HG/SS:
73-98756-33445 is the number of the battle video I uploaded today(pink floor at the terminal). Just a random battle at the Battle Tower, spent 8 turns Dragon Dancing xD

I just picked it up again. Training for the E4.

Finally caught a Rhyhorn, and I have TWO Selfdestructing Munchlaxes. Unfortunately, they're nearly identical. Same nature, similar stats. On the plus side, free Leftovers! Big Grin

God damnit Karen, I was doing so good then you and your Houndoom had to pineapple it all up. Now I need to grind Dragonair on the first 3 until it is at least 48 so it can handle Umbreon/Houndoom.

BTW-How exactly does catching Pokemon in the Pokewalker work. I collected over 10000 steps yesterday and it only gave me ! and !! and would never show a !!! for a Beldum/Munchlax. Do I have to wait so long before clicking a ! for it to change, because it sometimes fails then shows a !!.

Bulbapedia says the odds of getting another variant of "!" are dependent on how long it takes you to click the mid button. Longer -> higher odds. Works fairly well for me.
You can find Beldum/Lax in a "!!", but its a set percentage. You can also find Duskull or Horsea in a "!!", so "!!!" is the only guarantee.

Lance, you will die. Seriously, I don't remember him being this much of a jerk off in GS. The three Dragonites just rape me and my level 45 Dragonair. It seriously is impossible without Blizzard on 3 pogeys. SO FRUSTRATING

Possibly Hippowdon? He can curse and just wall efficiently.
Though you'll need some kind of water/grass check.

Dusknoir can also work pretty good. With 135 base special and physical defense, its fairly solid, and even without many EVs in it, his attacks still do a bit.
Low HP, but pain split helps keep it up for the most part.

He still rapes you, and makes you like it.
Maybe if you're running something faster, you'll stand a chance.

There's a long list of Pokemon faster than Dragonite that learn Ice moves. Gyarados rips apart Lance's entire 1st team. 3 Dragonites just makes it easier.

Unless one gets off a Thunder. I've played to the E4 three times, and not once were my Pogeys on par, level wise. Gyarados is only faster than Dragonite by 1 base point.

I just need to grind my Dragonair to about 50 because it is faster than the level 50 but slower than the 49s. I can OHKO Charizard, Gyarados, and Aerodactyl just fine with the others.

Im at E4, just training my pogemaynz. Dennis gave me a brand new legit shiny Gible a while back. He hatched it and TADA shiny.

Anyway i gave the gible a lucky egg and from 28+ i had him killing ursarings for 22XX exp per kill

Nor do normal players.

You get EVs by playing through the game. Given the large number of speed EVs gained from fighting all the Zubats in-game, I'm sure you get enough speed to make up for a few levels.
