Orange Mushroom Doll

I recently made a new character, a Night Walker. I was doing the quest from Roca to kill 50 Cynical Orange Mushrooms and retrieve one one Cynical Orange Mushroom Doll. I found one, but I couldn't pick it up. It said, "You cannot acquire any items because the game file has been damaged. Please try again after reinstalling the game." I tried picking a Orange Mushroom Cap, and I could.
