Welcome Back Ring doesn't work?

So I got this ring, and tested it on snails with a guildie.
When killing snails I got (text from memory so probably inaccurate, but numbers are accurate)

You have gained experience (4)
Party bonus exp (1)
Party Ring bonus exp (3)

and my party member said she got the same when she killed them.

However, when I was partied by a bunch of people going to hunt at Neo City on 4x (and HS), they said none of them got any extra ring exp. Not for their kills nor for mine. I did get the 80% bonus though, both for their kills and for mine.
Later tried on 2x (rep) and 1x at skeles with a bishop, she said she didn't get any extra exp in either situation, although I did.

Two differences I can think of between the first situation and the others:
- My first party-mate was lower level than me, and the others all higher.
- I was leader of the first party, but not the others.

It's also possible that my first party-mate was mistaken and didn't get any extra exp.

I'll continue testing tomorrow, but meanwhile, anybody have any experience with this ring?

It's right, but that's not what I was asking.
As you can see above, I got 3 exp ring bonus for killing a snail worth 4 exp.
(also, later, got 8k ring bonus for killing a skele worth 10k (on 2x+hs))

What I was asking was whether the other party members, not the one with the ring, get bonus exp of any sort.

That's weird, as I'm stating whatever else someone else on Southperry said in some thread.

The ring only works for the one having it equipped.
The ring only work if the wearer is in a party with members on the same map.
The exp bonus is 80% of what you get from your own kills as well as from your partner.

1.8x exp or 1.8x party bonus exp?

I'm kind of confused with the 50% drop increase, it says you party a retuning Mapler to have the affect...Does that mean it only works if the other mapler has the retuning ring with 80% exp? o.o Or what?

Downside is there won't be any "ring mules". If you aint gotten the returner ring on your main you might still jump, but it will be from a roof.

For all we know it could be a glitch, though. It clearly says on the ring "EVERY MEMBER IN THE PARTY WILL GET 80% BONUS EXP".

The ring isn't working for me, I put a ring mule in my party that had the welcome back ring, and received no bonus in experience. Party or Regular.
