Can Italian Ice go bad?

Serious question. There's a couple boxes in my freezer from last summer, and I've got cravings again. They look ok to me, but you know.

I highly doubt it went bad, if anything it might get freezer burn (but...probably not seeing as how its only sugar and water mostly)


Just look at it, if the ice looks weird dont eat it. other than that, its fair game.

No. I think the ingredients are pretty much just sugar and syrup with water. They may be a bit too solid to eat right away, but they should be fine.

The top of the ice always looks weird, but I don't think it matters at all how long it's been there. It's just... ice and artificial flavors.
