This sucks...Im in the middle of installing Japanese windows 7 on my laptop and if that doesn't fix it, something is srsly wrong with the program.

UPDATE: The JP OS WORKS! (It was HELL trying to get the correct OS torrent!) Currently downloading the game on my lappy. Now installing the OS on my desky to get things rolling!
When it finishes downloading, I'll pack it, up it, then you guys can see what you can do with it if you so choose.

UPDATE 2: got it working on my desky, making character customization video now.

UPDATE 3: Made a video of the opening cutscene and the first mission for the Cleric, Knight, and Sorceress. Archer was my first character so I haven't made one for her but it's the same as the Knight's so you're not missing much, but I made a video using the Archer on Master difficulty without getting hit cuz she's just that awesome. Will be maining the Archer until the servers close for the day then will be upping the vids as well as my installation folder if anyone requests it. The Game Start button downloads and installs the game to your computer all in one go so there is no installer.exe to be saved.

So it appears that ActiveX is the problem and needs to be reinstalled...I call BS.

I don't see why it would only work on Japanese Windows. There's got to be a way around that.

Dusk, you need to be in japanese codepage for any game. JMS, KMS, JP Dragonica, any game we've tried to do, you need to be in the correct codepage for the asian language to play it. Also, where is this hangame mailbox on the site? I haven't been able to figure it out. :f6:

EDIT: Found it. Didn't get in, don't really care. I'll work on getting us a stable forum setup, with you know, easy to find things rather then a thread.

So can I just change my computer's region and language settings to Japan?

Does changing the computer's region and language settings to Japanese mean changing the EN thing on the language toolbar to JP? If so, I've already tried that and also redownloaded adobe flash player. Do you guys know which directX to download?

The hangame mailbox is the little mail icon next to your hangame avatar or underneath the Game start button on the dragon nest page.
I tried the reigon settings change gig several times way back in my day (jgunz, gunster, monster hunter to name a few) but it didn't work so I didn't even bother with it this time. If it works for you, more power to ya.

Changing your system's location and locale doesn't work. I'm still getting that error.

No, andd as I said, good luck finding someone who knows chinese. They probably will have an IP block on top of that, too. Stop being impatient and wait for someone to figure out what's wrong, or HanGames to fix the issue.

It's overused, but it makes it clear what the forum is about and avoids being corny. As for actual names, I have no idea what anything in the game is called.

Well, the url will be http://www.dn.mapleportal.com just because that's the only thing I can get at this time (no unique domain, but anton was able to get be a sub-domain on top of letting me host this on his shared server). I'll get a real domain when I can afford one or find a good one for free. We'll still call it <insert name here> but the name just won't be the url.
