But I pick pie. I never liked cake.

I picked Cake since I barely ever eat either, and the last I ate was cake.

My favorite is Cheesecake, but does that technically count as a pie?

Going Cake only because I choose to include Ice Cream Cake. Though I do love a good Dutch Apple Pie too; a la mode almost makes it just as good.

Cake is very good...but I tire of it quickly. Pies, on the other hand...Sure, things like apple pie are just amazing, but when you look at cold pies such as Key Lime Pie, or this, pie is the clear winner for me.

red velvet and carrot is about the only win cake has. my birthday is the one time a year i even bother with cake :3

I have, and that's only because I absolutely detest cake. Frosting is disgustingly sweet. I'll take angel food cake or strawberry shortcake, though.

Pies are delicious. All cakes tastes the same.

Cake is not limited to squishy fluff topped with copious amounts of frosting. There are many different types of cake. Angel Food cake and Cheesecake, to name a few. Cake is so diverse and delicious, I can't not love it.

I absolutely love rumcake and cheesecake, and I absolutely love the soft, moist, spongy texture of a cake as well a certain sweetness they have. However- icing is always a ruining factor- especially in birthday cake, unless it is chocolate icing.

Going to have to say pie by a pretty close call. I'm a total sucker for the crust and how well it tastes when I eat it with the contents of the pie. Apple pie is particularly excellent.

I'll take cake. I have a sweet tooth.
