The stage is set months before with strange static interruptions on the Cartoon Network saying "An end of an era can't stay dead forever."

Then on March 17 2012 after Adult Swim ends it's broadcast the screen stays dark for a minute, then words are spoken. . .

"Tom. Tom. It's time to wake up Tom."

"Sa-ara, is that you? Where am I?"

"You're on the Absolution, Tom."

"The Absolution? But the last thing remember is being on a strange planet with the Absolution lost in space."

"Yes, Tom. A virus got on board the Absolution and infected you sending you into a sleep mode."

"So, you're telling me it was all a dream?"

"It seems to be that way Tom. But, Tom, with that aside they're all waiting for you."

"Waiting for me?"

"Yes, Tom. All of them."

"Well then, Sara, shall we go?"

"Right behind you Tom."

Dragon Ball Z comes on.

Here is an expanded/fixed/slightly different version.

The stage is set months before with strange static interruptions on the Cartoon Network saying "Who says the end of an era has to stay gone forever?" a scene of space with nothing around appears on the screen just for a split second and then it's gone.

Then on March 17, 2012 after Adult Swim ends its broadcast the screen stays dark for a minute, then words are spoken. . .

"Tom. Tom. It's time to wake up Tom."

A fuzzy holographic image comes on and off the screen.

"Sa-a-ra, is that you Sara? Where am I?"

Tom fully opens his eyes and the image of a floating Sara in a dark room comes on the screen.

"You're on the Absolution, Tom."

"The Absolution? But the last thing remember is being on a strange planet with the Absolution lost in space."

"Yes, Tom. A virus got on-board the Absolution shutting down its systems and then infecting you causing your AI to be sent to shut-down drone on another planet. After repairing the Absolution I finally managed to track you down and put your AI back in your old body."

"So, you're telling me it was all a nightmare?"

"It seems to be that way Tom. But, Tom, don't you think you need to get to the bridge?"

"The bridge?"

"They're all waiting for you Tom."

"Waiting for me?"

"Yes, Tom. All of them."

"Well then, Sara, shall we go?"

"Right behind you Tom."

Sara and Tom walk up to the bridge and Tom starts to turn all the Absolution's systems on.

"Are all the systems fully functioning Sara?"

"Yes Tom."

"Well space cowboys and girls, let's get this started. I hope you enjoy the lineup we have for you today. We have all your old favorites and even some new ones."

Dragon Ball Z comes on.

And here is an alt version that only has one thing changed.

The stage is set months before with strange static interruptions on the Cartoon Network saying "Who says the end of an era has to stay gone forever?" a scene of space with nothing around appears on the screen just for a split second and then it's gone.

Then on March 17, 2012 after Adult Swim ends its broadcast the screen stays dark for a minute, then words are spoken. . .

"Yes, Tom. A virus got on-board the Absolution shutting down its systems and then infecting you causing your AI to be sent to shut-down drone on another planet. After repairing the Absolution I finally managed to track you down and recover your AI. But in the attack your old body was damaged beyond repair so I had to use one of the old stock TOM 1's we had."

"So, you're telling me it was all a nightmare?"

"It seems to be that way Tom. But, Tom, don't you think you need to get to the bridge?"

"The bridge?"

"They're all waiting for you Tom."

hold on buddy, DBZ is the STANDARD when it comes to AWESOME animus. But Yu Yu Hakusho was brilliant in its own right. I loved both...
and Zoids...

Now lets not get into a war boys.

I loved Yu Yu Hakusho, but I never got to watch the whole thing. I should really do that.
