Eosian Wrote:It says very clearly an 80% party xp bonus while someone wears the ring. Unless you think they mean the wearer gets an 80% bonus to party xp and everyone else gets nada, which is dumb and misleading, but then again this is Nexon.

I missed that and that makes it so much worse. I still think it will only effect the ring holder but this means it doesn't effect actual experience. That ring is worthless unless you're being leeched.

Nexon has cared more about new users than old users, it's no secret.

If the ring works the way it does in maplesea, anyone who parties someone with the ring gets the 80% bonus, even if the character doesn't leech. A "ringer" in maplesea is a mule with a ring.

Do you have confirmation on the criteria for acquiring the ring (in MSEA at least)? If inactivity guarantees a 100% chance of getting, that's sweet.

That's what I thought. Did they have a 30 day (or worse) expiration on them?

Can't hurt now, can it? The CashShop has grown into such an absurdity. Free extra EXP from HT sounds appealing to me.

Aw, I guess this means no balance patch yet.

No idea. It's something I don't recognize to be in any other version, so chances are that it's something exclusive to GMS.

Looking good so far, time to farm a few maple skanadas and shields. The mage shield should be worth a lot more this time around with all the evans about. I have a few accounts i haven't log on for a while now for the ring, so i will benefit from this Biggrin

I don't see a way to make mage shields so far, unless it's added as a drop this anniversary?

SEA'ers please confirm: the ring increases party bonus exp, which is the 10% added exp you get for being in a party, right?
So instead of the normal "You have gained exp (100)" and "Party bonus exp (10)" a party with a ring-wearer will see "You have gained exp (100)", "Party bonus exp (18)" ?

Need to check the math on whether that makes partying with a leech better than soloing.

Wouldn't it be "You have gained exp (100)", "Party bonus exp (90)"?
