New job skill icons: How were these missed?

They look...fake i think. It looks like some elements from other skill icons are being reused/sampled.

How could people have "missed" these for so long?

I don't like the fact that they just randomly popped up one day. Maybe if there was a patch recently, it could be made believable, but for now I'm not up for getting my hopes up just yet...

Iirc, the dual blade icons came a lil while after some strings/placeholders appeared, and thee were not from known sources. Or was it skill animations?

To me, these look like the skills icon when they are not hovered over.

I don't doubt that they do, but the author of that post claimed that they were from "digging around in Maplestory", meaning the WZ files. These files never contain any PNG headers - just the pixels themselves. Whoever took that picture from the WZ files (if that happened at all) edited the picture in photoshop. If you look at all of my pictures, you'd see that none of them are from photoshop.

This doesn't entirely discredit him, but it does cast a shadow of doubt on it.

That makes the assumption that I publish every extraction I do, which is false. Some patches have nothing noteworthy in them so I don't publish them. There have been two other patches from KMST in the past week but I never published anything from them because there's nothing noteworthy in the data to cover.

I do have an idea where this is coming from, but I'm going to check first before fully discrediting this guy as a hoax.

We all saw it. and yes even though it does seem to match not only the image but the strings...... WAIT A MINUTE! am I the only one that is seeing another bear behind the character? (right from the face)
What Fiel discovered makes it hard to believe they come from the extractions as its said. But who knows? we may get surprised
