Want help?
We can farm Terra together on Normal mode. I'm pretty good at soloing it, so with a partner I'm sure it would be easy. You can also farm my VP mule if you'd like. 100 VP a day, 200 a day, 300--whatever you want. I don't mind helping. Plus I'm not doing anything right now.

Ran out of tokens on Berserker so I went back on my Summoner.
2nd Spine hates my Summoner so much. I actually had to use potions there and bought extra 3 tokens to finish all the quests there. Laser Cannons make my summons die, and Lotus keeps whipping me every time I get close enough to Mark him 3 times. Thank god I'm done with 2nd Spine. Chamber of Blood should be much better.

EDIT: Nevermind, finished farming the terranite.
Will probably do some PvP after for the very first time to start on VP after.

Vid just blew my mind. I can't comprehend how that person throws out chasers so easily and stuff. I have a hard time playing on my Battle Mage at level 19, FFS. >_> So I moved back to my Spitfire which I hadn't touched since the 40 cap opened.

It's really easy once you get the hang of it. Chaser spam, I mean. Make sure you have it set to a good, comfortable button. It becomes second nature hitting it after every attack or whenever you want. Stationary bosses make it REALLY easy. Lotus was the easiest boss for me on my Battle Mage, and she definitely had the easiest time with him out of my girls. Anything that lets you sit in front of it and Chaser spam is domination.

What a nice selection of little girls you have there, Felix.
Guess it comes with practice. How useful is doing x-x-x anyways? I only have Neutral Chaser so that's the only way I can get chasers to practice with. And is it suggested to be left at 10 or max? I've heard mixed opinions on it. L> Mark. Exorcists are freaking tanks in the future. http://zoome.jp/waruikohaineka/diary/37 http://zoome.jp/taimabiyori/diary/27 Everytime I see that Exorcist image pop up, I think of Mark. Because he's like the only Exorcist I know.
I wouldn't level Neutral Chaser past 10 unless you plan to do a lot of PvPing (then it's a good idea to max, for sure). The extra move speed of 11+ isn't very helpful in dungeons. My Battle Mage is built for dungeons (like all of my girls) and she has 10 Neutral, max Light and max Fire. No Shadow or Water. Pretty standard. I think BMs are the easiest to plan since there's the least variation in their builds. Only have to make a few decisions and the rest is basically required/common sense. No one really does gimmick all Chaser or all physical builds.
xxx is the core of everything you'll be doing as a Battle Mage. x's lead you into everything, which is why it's great to have the Cancels for the skills you'll be using (Upper, Fang, Wheel and usually Blast). x/xx/xxx into Upper/Fang and then continuing/repeating it however you want is basic combo play. As for pure xxx'ing for Neutral Chasers, it's not that important. It's much better to focus on keeping your supply of Light and Fire chasers up since they are vastly better once you get to a high level.
I thought you said you only had cancel uppercut?
I use xxx all the time, usually while holding the back button so I don't move. Keep swinging and you'll hit something lol. Uppercut and blast are awesome, uppercut curves and comes out fast, blast is real strong. Oh she had 5 chaser gen in the video. I was wondering how she had so many chasers.

I did until 4x. Then I picked up Fang Cancel too. I'll eventually be grabbing Wheel Cancel. Still can't decide if I should get Blast Cancel, but probably yes.

Hey, can someone explain to me how the Avatar Bazaar works? I have to buy tokens and hope I get lucky enough to get all the items in a set like they display in the Bazaar/website? REALLY? So I can't just buy the set, or can I? It looks like you put a token in and what you don't pick what you get. :|
Felix: Impressive collection. I did notice it got somewhat easier to level up since the last time I played. I reached like level 13 in one day...last time I think I only got to 11 or so. It could just be me but idk.
2010-04-25, 12:14 PM
Yeah, that's really how it works. You use an Avatar Token to receive one random avatar of the type you pick (Hair, Hat, Top, etc). It will generate one avatar out of the current selection (which is on display) and give it one of the possible stats that piece can have. For example, Hair can have Cast Speed, Int, Spirit, MP regen or HP regen.
Kinda sucks. But avatars are tradeable, which makes it easier.

It could just be me but idk. They lowered the amount of experience points needed to level up. So essentially, there are almost no grind levels unless you somehow finish all your quests for a certain dungeon in one go and they don't level you up. And there are grind levels near the level cap since the dungeons that correspond to those upper 40's aren't released yet.

Advanced Avatar prices are crazy. Do they expire!?

Anyone have any PvP mules I can kill, or trade wins if that is ok also.

People playing DnF/AradoSenki/DFO keep continuing to impress me greatly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-TZI3zt0_M Spear Battle Mage. I'm awed how that player uses the range of the spear as well as Teana's combos so effectively to solo that dungeon. And it didn't take too long either.
People need to stop posting videos that make me want to play every class.
Anyway, my mage is 18 and on the last quest before (s)he becomes a summoner. Was wondering if this build would be good for a PvE summoner. I got it from here. From what I know, 1 florae circle for summoning wisps, and panzer hodor seem to be staples? Ancient library if you have mana issues (little/no mp/min gear, I'll prob be getting that). Besides that, I don;t know anything about the various summons. Bleh, hate knowing little about games I enjoy
