This thread will discuss poor arguments used by users to dispute infractions. By creating this thread, I hope to not only save you guys some time in learning how to properly dispute an infraction, but also to save the moderation team's time in not hearing the same poor argument over and over. I would suggest that you read over the arguments presented here and never use them in an infraction dispute.
Argument I: "Fiel, I-"
STOP RIGHT THERE!
Fiel is much too busy to deal with your argument. That's what the moderation team is for. By contacting Fiel, you're wasting time he could have spent rescuing a poor Chinchilla trapped under a turned over box. Is that what you want? Do you know how many poor little critters could be seriously in danger, but unable to get help because you decided to make up some story about why your infraction was unjust? Do you seriously want to live the rest of your life with the weight of that guilt?
Consider the following example:
Mr.Chinchilla Eater: Um...officer, I believe you've made a mistake. My tail light is clearly functioni-
Officer: OH, GREAT, DID YOU SEE THAT? SOMEONE JUST GOT SHOT, WHILE SOMEONE ELSE ROBBED A BANK. THERE'S PEOPLE OVER THERE SELLING DRUGS, AND THAT MAN IS HARVESTING ORGANS FROM AN INFANT THAT WAS JUST REPORTED MISSING. OF COURSE, I DIDN'T GET THE REPORT BECAUSE I WAS TOO BUSY HEARING YOU WHINING ABOUT YOUR TICKET.
Mr Chinchilla Eater: But I-
Officer: I hope you're happy.
Consider the following example:
Judge: Mr.Chinchilla Eater, you are brought here to determine two counts of grand larceny from two major banks in the area. How do you plead to these charges?
Mr.Chinchilla Eater: Wait, what? I came here on my own to dispute a ticket I recieved from an officer earlier. There must be some mista-
Judge: Oh, look at that. While you were busy yabbering your mouth, I accidentally declared a serial rapist with tons of evidence piled against him as innocent. I hope you're happy.
Rapist: Looking at Mr.Chinchilla Eater. You're next, buddy <3
If at any point you would wish to dispute an infraction, DO NOT CONTACT FIEL. Instead, you should use whatever means necessary to track down those who reported you, and take it out in private with them. Of course, the moderators have a role in this as well. If needed, they will provide you the IP of everyone who reported you, so that you may track their address and take them out personally.
Do not, under any circumstances, waste Fiel's time.
Argument II "I can type a lot, look at me. See how much I'm typing? I really-"
I am disputing this infraction because I believe that there was some kind of misunderstanding. The thread was about beavers, if you look at it. It has always been about beavers from the start. I'm not sure why I was infracted for saying "Beaver dams can be built that big?!" Could I please get some further information as to what exactly was wrong with that quote? The InfractionPM simply pointed to that quote for the reasoning behind my infraction. I wish to-

Hey, I just got this really cute Chinchilla the other day. She's still pretty young and small. Man, I wish I could post a topic about how cute she is, but I'm banned right now. I have this cute video of her picking up sunflower seeds and nibbling on them. I was just playing Red Light Green Light with her, and she actually plays along. Man, sure wish I could show someone just how cute my lil Chinchilla is.
Valid argument. Speak to Fiel in a PM for further instructions.
The best ways to get your appeal granted:
1. Argue with force - things that you can scare someone into believing is true. Do not fall back on that something as weak as "logic". You know who uses logic? Nerds. You know who gets beat in school? I dunno, I'm not ganna try to think about that, because then I'd be using logic.
2. Always guess who was the one to infract you. If you're right, you can be sent to a special bonus round where you are granted a chance at removing all warnings and infractions you have against you. In fact, it may be best to make enemies with one specific mod, so that you have a higher chance of guessing who did you in.
3. Use condoms. Nuff said, kiddies. If you're dumb enough to get infracted for something, then the world is better without your offspring ruining the next generation. Fiel can provide these free of charge, but he's usually busy rescuing Chinchillas, so you may just have to buy them yourself.
