Nightclaw Wrote:this is retarded. Surf is the only one that is decent. They should all be GOOD MOVES! you are REQUIRED to use them, so make them good. Competitive level good. That is supposing they keep this pomegranatety system for HMs instead of making them passive abilities that your pokes of the correct typing have.
You're not required to KEEP using them.
Hey kids, check this out!
Cut is base 50, and although it is still weak, it's decent enough to warrant using on some low-level Pokemon. Stick it on an HM mule and forget about it.
Rock Smash is base 40. Still hilariously weak, but it's typed. Stick it on an HM mule and forget about it.
Fly is a good in-game move. The only thing bad about it is its accuracy. Use it on an in-game Pokemon.
Surf is a powerful special move. Nothing else to say.
Strength is base 80. Body Slam is only better because of the 30% paralysis.
Whirlpool is useless.
Rock Climb is only bad because of its 85% accuracy, which is still decent.
Waterfall is a competitive move. Nothing else to say.
Flash spamming is the same as spamming Sand-Attack or Smokescreen. Use it in-game.
Defog clears Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock (sadly, on your opponent's team) but kills Light Screen, Reflect, Safeguard and Mist. It also lowers Evasion. Worthless, right?
YOU DON'T ALL HAVE TO BE USING THE SAME pineappleING MOVES. Get creative.
P.S. This is coming from a competitive Pokemon guy.

So, SO, true.
The only problem with HMs are that you can't override them.
They either need that or a move deleter early in the game.

Doesn't even look that bad, I mean, could've been worse. I think the new girl looks like an older Dawn, but way better than Lyra.
Still weird though.
EDIT: Where did you find this?

Once their official designs are released, there will be fanart of them on the same day.

First picture is just an edit. Don't take it seriously. I found it on an image board I browse.
2nd image I got from snooping around Japanese blogs.

Pokemon Sunday is a show on Sunday mornings (Saturday night for people in the US) - they show the latest episode of the anime and then do some random stuff (last time I watched it, they had a double battle between some little kid and a 20ish guy) and then a news announcement.

ITT: We all quote the same post even though everyone knows which one we're talking about
One on the left looks like some kind of bulky-looking pokemon, like Heatran, with a giant horn on its head, like Heracross. Really interested to see what that one comes out to be. Will be sad if these are fakes.
I forgot what type of bug it's called... Hercules Beatle?
