Yes there is a lot more openness than I expected. In my experience (I've seen this thread dozens of times on dozens of forums) it's full of guys going AW HELL NAH I'VE BEEN HAVING SEX SINCE I WAS 8 and then speaking of their sordid love affair(y tale)s.

Saying you've been having sex since 8 is most likely a lie. But a lot of times when people are kids and still learning about the world there are chances that those kids will play doctor or other things with other kids. Of course they sure as hell won't know what they're doing, or they're a badass pimp who gets all the ladies, but it does happen.

You don't know a thing about me, so why are you even bothering making assumptions? Troubles in my teenage years? What troubles did I have? My teenage years were excellent, save for one thing that happened (which isn't important or relevant). Troubles = not having sex? I'm curious what else you could possibly mean. I got through high school with no negative marks and top grades as an honor student. I was never charged for anything. I made some excellent friends that will probably be my friends for life. I got in with a great job and saved up a ton of money. I'm really not seeing how my teenage years were anything but great. I had a blast on the entire ride. Best years of my life, so far.

Would have been awesome if I had met a great girl and had a great relationship during them, but it didn't happen. Why is that a big deal? I went to a high school with (literally) a couple hundred students. I knew everyone. Everyone. That's like knowing all the people you could potentially be with. My class (that I went through Kindergarten all the way through graduation with) had seven girls. Seven. I knew them better than many people know their girlfriends. I did not want to be with any of them. Or any of the girls in the classes around mine. You should really understand not everyone's life is like yours. I was very well-liked in my school, especially in the later years. Students and teachers alike. About the only thing I didn't show confidence and an outgoing personality in was public speaking (that is hard for me). I've always been well-liked in the jobs I've worked, too. I got a raise and compliments from my boss during my second year at my factory job. What else can I say?

Hopeless romantic looking for love. I'll tell you what though, I fell for a girl when i was 13 years old. 16 and a virgin. Not awfully ashamed of it, but I don't really want to just start having sex without being in a serious relationship.

High school's great and all, but the girls are way too slutty for me to ever think about touching them. I don't understand why guys continually want to have sex with a girl who is definitely a slut. EDIT : DustBunny, something similar happened to me, I thought about it for like, 7 months and realized why she said no and why anyone else thinking rationally should say no. Unrelated, this is also when I firmly decided not to take drugs or anything like that.

I know there are cute girls in my "Circle of Friends", I talk to them pretty often. At times, I wanted to ask them out or be in a relationship with them, but the thing is, if I were to break-up with them, it'd be awkward just to initiate conversation as if we're just friends again. I get that after-feeling when I break up with someone and try to speak with them again, but that isn't always the case. Right now, I think dating is more acceptable for people within the 16-21 age range, just so they can experience how other people are like before moving onto more serious matters such as relationships.

There's this one girl I was really in love with, of course, we broke up after a couple of months, but like, me and her still talk like we're friends. It's great. I don't have that "This is.. awkward" feeling when I'm with her, and she asks me for help on her homework or whatever if she needs it. It's like being a bestfriend to your previous girlfriend, it feels pretty good to know that you're being relied on.
