How are they not legendary?......
They're powerful as balls compared to anyone else.

All depends on your definition on legendary. If its power, then why are alot of legends NOT EVEN IN OU while tons of non legends are?

Also, definition of legendary can be screwed with tons of ways.
if you think legend = 1 of it, then shaymin, mew, deoxys, arent, and snorlax and sudoowoo are. (only 1 chance to catch)

So many definitions, IMO i just have my own list that I consider legendary, because its not as if pokemon actually is consistent. EXAMPLE mews can breed in legend, but not in game, shaymins in anime and not in game, so many discrepancies in game and in the anime (EX ash stating that its the 1 yr anniversary of him getting pikachu on 2 occasions).

The in-game def. for legendary is that they reached the top potential for any pokemon.
They're unique as sh'it and can overpower anything.
Name one "legendary" that doesn't deserve the name.

...you are doing it so so wrong.
ALL of those are LEGENDARY POKEMON. you go to ANY pokemon site, and ALL of those will register as legendary. Clefairy is one of the dare i say ONLY pokemon that are from space, both according to various pokedex entries, as well as the anime/manga. the only other TRUE celestial pokemon is Deoxys, but it is a legendary.

ethereal =/= celestial.

Flareon sorta looks like a lion =O

But I'll say it again, I'm not a fan of these clunky futuristic looking pokemon/legendaries. I much rather they seem organic. I know it's hard to come up with ~100 new awesome 1st gen type pokemon, but they really can look still to the real world for inspiration. L>kangaroo type pet xD
And I've always joked around with my friends that Aerodacytl was the pre-historic Farfetche'd =] Honestly, if they're gonna give evo's they better look great, or I'd rather they not get one at all. Rhyperior comes to mind...since Rhydon was SUCH a badass...and it got turned into a pile of shiet.

Also, expanding on the Black-Rocket/White-Good Guys idea, they could always make it so the Good guys get to go to the E4, and the baddies get to challenge the higher ups of Team Rocket to try and become their new boss =] And the 3rd in the Gen would be playing normally till a certain point where you have to choose between two paths.

Yeah, hi, I play competitive and I'd like to pick apart your post. Why are not all legends in ubers? It's not the stats that makes the Pokemon. It's how Nintendo builds them up.

How is there more than one Mew, Shaymin, and Deoxys? And you can catch two Snorlax in FRLG.

The anime's a bullpomegranate way to define anything. Since there's actual continuity there, how would they explain the fact there's always at least one of each? As time passes, Pokemon die. Reproduction makes no sense with only one Pokemon in most cases.

EDIT : Again, you meant the movies. Like I said, bullshit way to define anything. Also, if you knew of Pokemon history, you would know that at one point, Mew was the dominant species.

So? Deoxys has amazing power, its reached the full potential for any pokemon.
Shaymin is practically the protector/god of the flowers.
Mew has the DNA for every pokemon, its one of the first and best.

into to that one movie, there are multiple mews. Also, you can see mewtwo and mew in the same shot, and they are both mews, one is just genetically engineered.

shaymin movies showed a ton

i thought the deoxys one was common knowledge

Right, I've contributed to this, so I'm taking partial blame for it. Get back on topic, this isn't related to gen V. Put it in its own thread.

FrozNlite Wrote:I'm sorry, but no. You can't want new evolutions/babies of any I-IV Pokemon and not want something like this. Would you like to create the new evolutions my friend? Let me put it this way: Generation IV was FILLED with a crap-ton new offshoot evolution Pokemon, like Electivir, Magmortar, Glaceon, Leafeon, etc. You claim that there are only three Regis according to legend, yet Regigigas is found in the eastern temple in Snowpoint City. And what did that do to the game? I've never seen so many people hate on a generation of Pokemon before. Too many were upset with all they tried to fit in, saying they really pushed the bar with Gen IV adding so many random new evolutions to old Pokemon lines that hadn't seen a change since Gen I or II. While the idea of new evolutions for old Pokemon is neat and brings back nostalgia for veteran players, if the execution is carried out poorly (like seen above, and like Gen IV, IMO, was pretty damn close to), then the new generation fails to live up to its expectations of showcasing the individuality of whatever new region the Pokemon are found. You want all these new Pokemon evolutions for old lines, but don't want to see this many, as shown above? Please. The above picture is an excellent metaphor for what the generation V Pokemon will be, and if you can't handle that, don't be shouting so euphorically for new evolutions for the old.
There's a difference between Gen IV's evolution chains and this supposed Gen's generation chains.
Looking through, aside from Mr. Mime and Mime Jr., I don't see a single pre-existing Pokemon that doesn't have a baby/final evolution added. At least Generation IV had evolution chains that were left intact (ie. Abra, Zubat, Geodude, Machop...)

Regigigas is a guardian. He's not a Regi himself. He may have "Regi" in his name, but he is in no way a "Regi."

I believe they added...27 new evolutions in Gen IV? There are 45 new evolutions in this supposed generation of Pokemon. There's a big difference.

Nowhere did we say that we wanted new evolutions for pre-existing Pokemon. Don't put words in our mouths.
Nowhere does it say that Gen V will have this many new evolutions.

@Nightclaw:
Just no. It's quite obvious that those Pokemon are "legendary." These Pokemon were spoke of in legends (Deoxys was spoke of in legends do the fact that it lived in space and was rarely seen. Mew was spoke of in legends because it "created" all Pokemon. Shaymin was spoke of in legends due to its ability to purify ...things (the air?)).

Argh, more pokemon means it'll be harder to complete the Pokedex Angry I feel like the only person that still tries anymore.

But black isn't a colour.

Would it be wrong to think that the first 2 versions will be on the DS and the 3rd one in the 3DS?
