Create the ultimate in game team
#1
Suppose the following rules are present for this HGSS run

No item usage outside of battles. Only normal pocket hold items are permitted.
You must fight every trainer
No backtracking to pokecenters. Only usable when the plot progression makes you pass one.
As you progress, your 6 pokemon will be of an equal level to that of the average opponent.
No legendaries Except the ones you catch in that playthrough.
No cheating.
No ubers.
No multiple pokemon in a team.

Obviously when using these rules, what is important changes. no longer are 5pp moves viable. Suicide moves become much more risky.

How would you make a team under these conditions.
What aspects seem the most important to you under these rules?
what would your ideal team bo?

Using your rules, max repel through dungeons, only fight gym leaders, game done. You don't even need a uber team to beat all the gym leaders.

Or you could just use an Action Replay to win at life. There is no rule against cheating.

UGN. THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT A CHALLENGING PLAYTHROUGH! ITS ABOUT BUILDING THE BEST TEAM FOR IN GAME PURPOSES.

Most efficient wins, quick kills, and enough oomph to survive hits until the next pokecenter. how would you build this team?

Make one up yourself then. It's not that hard.
The Pokemon storyline is insanely easy.

What the pineapple. You just added those 2 rules. This is fucking ridiculous.

I'm out. This is lame.

Get some stuff with leech seed. That'll help you recover a healthy amount of damage. Toss shell bells on anything you can (or leftovers if getting them early is legal to you). Anything with Wish is also helpful for healing party members.

The move Extrasensory comes to mind. 80 base psychic attack, 30 PP. Quite ridiculous PP for a midhigh base move.

From there, it's really up to you. Speed is practically essential. Anything slow will be taking damage. If you move first, it's very well possible to take no damage at all. Entry hazards are a no go because it just let's the opponent get a hit in on you.

Or if you really want to use entry hazards, use substitute first on an opponent who usually uses status first such as:

Magnemite: Almost always tries to T-wave/ supersonic.
There are other very predictable enemy status users. I'm not gonna bother atm though.

Substitute first then set up the entry hazard. Leftovers hopefully heals some of it back. Or the shell bell after hitting them.

Because you don't have any creativity to make that team.

Why would ou want us to do the hard work for you. Sad
OT: Its fairly easy.
Only need..what, 2 or 3 pokemon to get through that easy.
It's just an easier Nuzlocke challenge

Easy. First use a time machine and reverse the games back to the days of R/B/Y.

Then make a team of 6 Psychic Pokemon.

Done.

Use your starter and only your starter. Starter will be extremely overlevelled and blow everything apart in one hit. That's the most efficient in-game team.

DID YOU EVEN READ THE RULES? YOUR POKEMON WILL BE OF AN EQUAL LEVEL TO YOUR OPPONENTS POKEMON.

Otherwise its challenge at all.

We can't effectively interpret rules when they get changed every time we turn around.
