Leprechaun is bugged

Ugh...this is bad news for me. :[

Am I supposed to be more scared of a leprechaun or a tree more than, say, a Windraider? (At least with MG, I can live through multiple Windraider strikes. If they set leps' and trees' attacks as much as they say, I can't live through them once.)

Yeah, um, they've stunned me before...

Huh. Once on Creeping Evil, I let a lep from the pair just sit there while killing the other bag repeatedly. I even shot it once. No attacks, stuns, whatever.

Did you even read the thread?

They're bugged, so therefore they wouldn't attack.

Did any of you ever thought about the possibility that some Korean Nexon programmer screwed up in damage (and killed all the night lords in 1-hit who were passing by in the test phase), and Nexon America ordered the korean dev team to disable the attack from it (aka remove its MP)?

Maybe Bigfoot (as a supposed-to-be-boss) is supposed to kill a lot of people passing by him, but low lvl monsters with 10k ranged attacks or trees with 20k touch damage attacks are not in Nexon America own interest to put those into their game...

Everyone will ditch CwF the moment they get repeatly 1-hit killed by those, resulting in discouraged quitting players, resulting in less profit for Nexon America...

I wouldn't be suprised if this was one of the reasons Crimsonwood was delayed by 2 weeks. Nexon America send it back to Korea due to all the bugs and 1-hit killing of their players...

Btw, if Nexon WILL implement it anyway, imagine all the annoying assholes hitting all the fake meso-bags in-game to kill all innocent players that are just passing by...

No, no, that wouln't be good for Maplestory, giving one player the power to kill others passing by (killing sacks)... Look what Genesis did to Priests... they have all begun to solo for themselves because they're "teh shitz" and everyone else are "weak gtfo nibs", while they're still supposed to be a support class...

No, giving players GM powers (Killing people / Ultra ranged damage skills for support classes) is not a wise thing to add to a game... Because you only need a hand full of pricks to abuse those and ruin the whole game... And knowing Maplestory, you won't have to find long to find a lot of assholes...

Conclusion: Nexon should better leave them the way it is now...

Ugh, the 20k tree attack was a joke.

It's still not good that leps were meant to do that much damage. I can't reach the first portal on either side of Haunted House without seeing a Leprechaun.

Devil, I thought CwK was Nexon America's creation. Nothing to do with Korea.

I'm not sure how, but I KNOW I was stunned and there was only a transformed lep, fire and storm breakers. So unless fire/storm's stun, it had to be the lep?

@ Devil: CWK and most of NLC is Nexon of America's business. Although the programmers may have been from wizet, or korea, or w/e, it was entirely handled by NoA as NXProse said.

I've yet to be stunned by anything when I let them attack me and whatnot.

Perhaps monsters recover MP over time? It may have been sitting there for awhi;e

Leprechauns are harmless right now.....I haven't got stunned by those little devils getting up close and killing them on the spot.

But if Nexon decides to make them (AND the trees) "living mines" by giving them the features that they supposedly have, then CWK is seriously going to be a failure for Nexon......war zone much?

THE TREE THING WAS A JOKE!

You'd think monsters would stop recovering when they hit their max. :[
In this case, it's 0.

No, learn to Sarcasm.
Afrobean Wrote:Challenge can be achieved without robbing you of experience.

For example, Ellinia has a JQ or two that were very challenging. But when I did them, I didn't lose exp or a charm. Gatekeeper is a tough to fight monster, but making a small mistake while fighting him won't necessarily end with me dying. But making a small mistake in the JQ to the keep is instant death, and making a small mistake by walking up (or, for Magicians/Nightlords, blindly teleporting/flashjumping up) to an aggro'd one of these guys would also spell instant death.

They just want people to spend more money on charms. That's why they've made the Keep the way they have. They didn't set out to make a good or fun place, they set out to make a place that will kill you.
You know what they say, No risk, no reward. One of my favorite bosses to fight has always been the Headless Horseman. There's one reason for this: it can Kill me. It's always solo, and there's always the chance that I might get killed by it. Every Avatar Smega is an invitation to die. Once in a while, he'll get the drop on me, but more often than not I can beat it. Mushmom, these area bosses, they're no risk, so it's no fun. Crimson Balrogs, pianus, Pap, they can all one hit me, and that's no fun either. But the headless horseman's' damage is right there near my max, always posing a threat, and that's why it's fun.

The other day we had discovered a bigfoot. Before it was slowed, it had rushed me into the corner. I summoned the hawk to hopefully keep it at bay, but a nub idiot cleric came in and was shooting it with Holy Arrow. Since his KB is 0, every hit by this idiot was pushing it closer and closer. At the last second, when it's practically touching me, I swing with a Power Knockback and send bigfoot flying away, subsequently killing it as well. THAT was exciting. Granted, I am pretty pissed whenever Bigfoot kills me, but triumphing over something that could easily do so is what makes it fun and interesting.

I don't think you can appreciate exactly how small the range of this attack is. you'd pretty much have to be standing on top of it. It only really poses a threat to 2nd job warriors and all level bandits. Ranged characters can merely kill it and go loot when the leprechaun's in its meso bag form.
Technolink Wrote:Perhaps monsters recover MP over time? It may have been sitting there for awhi;e
some of them can, but Leprechaun's max MP is 0.

Isaac, I get what you're saying about it being exciting, but this is a different point I am trying to address. Did you notice I mentioned Gatekeepers? They can kill many players too (particularly you low HP fellows), but still offer a challenge regardless.

The point I was trying to put forth is that rather than simply making these things CHALLENGING, they just made them able to kill you. And their reasons for doing it seem to be very clear: charms. Seriously, they make quest items drop rarely so people will buy 2x drop, they make things able to kill people unfairly so they buy charms, they release unfair items to gach and TCG so people will buy that. It's just annoying. I am all for looking to make some money off of their product, but doing it this way just sucks. I'd rather them do like they did last Halloween if they feel like they need to milk this pomegranate.

Also notice: it might not make a huge difference to Archers and Thieves to get destroyed unfairly, but Warriors and Magicians are more resilient and shouldn't be one hitted by nub pomegranate.
