Well it looks like the commercials are out, sorry if this is old news to you folks.

Hmm......

I'd play it.

It kind of looks like a poorly put together flash game, though.
#3
They put bloctopus' in el nath. Do not like.

^ it does look like a poorly designed flash game
#4
id still play it <<
#5
Yea I was thinking it would be better off as a free flash game on their site.
#6
I love the pirate class in this game.

It's the best thing ever! I wish they'd fix the pirate class in the real Maple to make it that awesome!

Yup, we would not have to worry about, skill noises being off, core skills being removed for more the a month and no fix.
It would be the best.

Looks basic, possible combo's but nothing short of your standard fair flash game.
Though its still somewhat in development I can assume, it's certainly just going to
be rented by yours truly. Perhaps there's some actual storyline worth my time to it.

Oh and I like the slight artistic change. Do I see nx faces and hair? Free Nx looks? Wot?

The commercials Spadow posted make me actually want the game..
There was a bandit flash jumping(probably just a double jump) wielding two Getas. Do want to see how this turns out.
#11
Looks okay, I'm thinking about getting it.
#12
I wish ArchMages F5'd and floated in the air when casting ultimates.
#13
Looks boring and not worth my time.
#14
Is this online? :/

Mostly single player, from the looks of it.

It seems GoNintendo only has the commercials for this game (although I can't really tell seeing as YouTube is blocked on the computer that I'm currently using). There are two more videos on the Nintendo of Korea website, and I have to admit that I wasn't that interested in this game until I saw those two (mostly the first video in the link below). This has some potential...

Looks sick, I would totally get it.

From what I've seen from the videos the gameplay looks more fun than the gameplay we have on the original thing. I mean, guarding, comboes for everyone, running, dodging, why do we have to wait for a DS version for that?
If the game plays as good as some other MMO-on-your-DS like games out there (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles) I think it'll be great. It seems to play quite smooth, although the combinations of certain areas are weird (Ellinea + Ludibrium?!). Let's just hope that it's not one of those games which you complete in no time and then never look back at.

It likely will be from the looks of it, most DS games are.
It does appear to be story focused (which is nice, maple could always use more lore), and the only reason I'd want to play it again is to try multiple classes probably.

That said, it is a 1 player, offline game, there may be local multiplayer, but as I recall there is zero online functionality.

Well, next to local multiplayer, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, had a multiplayer that worked the same gameplay wise, but online. Seeing as the game isn't too graphic heavy (it's probably a 128mb or 64mb file) the rates of lagg, even when online, and the fact that Nexon knows how to set up things like that, the chance that Maplestory DS will have a similar thing is pretty high. Maybe you could even send items to your Maplestory account (like Pokémon Platinum, Heart Gold and Soul Silver have Wii messaging, and e-mail function in Japan too). I wonder if they're going to use all the things they could to make this game sell, or just treat it like a side project.

Im going by an interview held with them when the initially announced it a while back, I recall they said it wont be online, but that may have changed in development.

Also the boxart of the game didn't have the Nintendo Wi-Fi logo from what I saw, though I may have missed it.

Either way ill still play this, I never got to play Echoes of Time on DS' wifi, though I did play Advance Wars, Metroid, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and LostMagic all online, and they were all pretty decent, it could certainly benefit from it.
