Vipers -- Not 100% Invulnerable

There's been a lot of threads. I'll edit this post with my ideas.

Edit:

1) Energy charge charging per hit.
2) CSB hitting 6 mobs with charge time doubled.
3) Faster demolition or lower ST cooldown.
4) Ability to jump cast snatch.

Those are only a few.

There's been hella threads on this sort of stuff. You should check out the KMST thread where the revamps were introduced. we had quite a discussion in there with plenty of ideas.

Among my wishes: Passive crit, energy charge charging by hit, not by attack (i.e. barrage will do 6 units not 1; demo 8 units not 1)

Ehh. Barr + DS isn't that bad. It's just that demo isn't really that strong. It takes demo up to level 22ish to beat barr+DS. >_> It should at least outdamage it at level 15.

Not being unique + Not being useful in many situations + not even having comparable DPS to other classes = a terrbile class = Vipers

The only reason I still play mine is because I enjoy it and it's the only level 160 I have. ;(

No. Not even close.

With the new Balance patch, Paladins are just as strong, if not stronger than Heroes. Crossbow Masters also got a very nice boost in DPS, thus making them a lot stronger. Vipers, however, only got a training boost so on bosses, we're pure shi't. Evans are Mages and Mages aren't supposed to be a part of the MAIN DPS classes, which is the point I'm making.

As a Viper myself, I'll be the first to admit that our class is the most pointless class in the game, really. We have no real power and the only use we have is to sit there in a barrel, doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, while allowing the other classes to kill the bosses.

You know we can snatch while jumping, right? It just pulls the monster into where you're going and damages you, though.

I'll mention my Zrun experience with me having TL, 3 people died in the run.. I stupidly walked into the body oh well. 3 people died the bishop refused to Res because they didn't know what TL was.. Brilliant hm? So I dced as did the other 2 people who died.. because the brilliant bishop had no clue what TL was... Sigh.

Mm I still haven't mastered being invincible.. and I like to use transform and whatnot and despise the fact it makes me skills slower.. So were they originally slow in transform and are now slower or was it bearable and became ridiculously slow?

My poor bucc is decaying slowly.. Frown

Well, before the skill updates that Vipers have in GMS right now, there was no ability to use Dragon Strike, Barrage, etc. while in Transform/Super Transform. But after these newest skill updates, it seems like your normal self was boosted in speed, yet your Transformed self stayed the same. I don't know why it is, though...

There was something on Spadow's blog about a second balance patch, in which pirates will be balanced further. Hopefully that will correct whatever is going on.

There's a semi-simple answer for that, the framerate for the moves while transformed and super transformed have to be edited to match up with the speeds in normal form. Very simply, they were idiots and forgot (atleast I think these are what's wrong with it, in any case it doesn't change the fact they forgot to change things in normal and super/transform).

Quit your complaining. What do you want? No delay between skills? You want to spam CSB and Berrage /stragon strike like how you spam SSK and Flash Fist? We shadower The strongest attack yet spamable and the only !!!! THE ONLY!! skill with invincible frame. is Boomerangstep and its 1 sec delay time in between. You bucc/viper can do some nice dmg with Barrage like seriously. And dragon strike Having invincible frame time Im like seriously If you want to be strong and go to boss why not make a BM/NL/Corsair instead?

No one said no delay. The whole point of the thread was to tell those who were predicting we would have 100% invulnerability when training that the prediction was false.

Vipers do need quite a huge boost to catch up to the other classes in terms of DPS on bosses, though.

Not a direct result of the rebalancing, but crit rings came out around the same time that the balances did. It's still not the boost they needed though.

All I want for bucc is the passive critical, and I only want that because our Cygnus version has it...
My damage without critical on barrage last hit is like.... 40k? I don't remember, but I think that's it, well with critical it's 70k, that'd be on average around 64k bonus on the whole barrage, I'd be happy with that, even if it was lowered to 40% of the time, or 30%! I'd still use it more than I do now, cause It's useless at bosees and I rarely use it when training.
