Critical Damage Increase for Vipers!?
#21
Yeah, it's maxed.

The highest I've seen so far after trying it quite a few times since you asked, was about 24,500. Of course, Vipers have super unstable damage, so it's hard to really say. According to the 96,500 I did earlier, the first four hits should hit around 24,125. I don't know, though. It's hard to really see what my highest damage really is.

Crit seems to be around... +170% damage? I seem to get the damage you're doing with a 400% damage attack. How much are your non-crit Demos doing with the same attack buff?

I bet this guy has around the same damage range as I do, but if he has a critical ring, that explain his higher critical damage. ...Time to level my XBow to level 80. >_>

Oh yeah! THE QUEST FOR THE RINGS SUCKS! You have to get to level 50 to start it, then get ANOTHER 30 levels before you can choose a ring to take. ;x It freaking sucks! Oh, and you only have 1 month to do so.

I thought its either getting a lvl 50+ , 30 levels or get a new adv from 1-50

Well, being crazily bored, I tested it out. Both me(140), and my friend(145) got 8xK as one of our hits. 136 friend seems to see a difference also, because he used to 2hko skeles with stun+barr, now it's 1hko.
GMS, btw.

See! I knew i wasn't the only one who thought their crit damage was higher.

For those seeing higher damage in GMS; at least mine did increase but not 100% of the time
my crits, if I remember right, were from 40-50k, now they're either around 45k or 75k

Nothing was changed to stun mastery in the data, so I'm going to guess it got changed to being multiplicative in some wonky way instead of additive.

Unfortunately this implies little to slim chance of us getting an actual Crit Mastery. No crit class would gleefully accept a Viper dealing 390% damage x 10 hits 60% of the time. Sad

Lol. ^^ You said it right. The new critical formula is +160% damage to your skills, rather than +60% damage to your skills. For instance, Rapid Fists does 230% damage. With the new Critical Formula, it now does 390% damage. With my damage range (6318), I can hit a max of 24,640 with the first four hits and a max of 98,560 with the final hit. That's good to know... Now they need to increase our bossing damage.

Oh yay! That still doesn't help bossing, but i always welcome big numbers.

For bosses it's easy.... just remove the -stunned- requirement for criticals.

We still have 60% chance to crit when stunned, right?

I think stun mastery should be changed into this:
40% passive criticals all the time
60% passive criticals when monsters are stunned

That just might actually give us a chance at bosses.

Kind of contradictory don't you think?

Okay, let me rephrase that:

40% passive criticals
20% additional critical when monsters are stunned

Yeah, I checked my stunned barrage dmg too when I saw Shikage posted the dmg difference in Jms. My stunned barrage can hit upto 14xk now.. mw 20 and Warrir elixer. It makes no sense though, we already ohko pretty much everything on here, what point is getting even higher Stun dmg.. I want un stun-required crit, dammit!

EDIT: Btw it's still just +60% I hit about 90k without stun, so my technical max should be 145k on prestun, no +160% dmg.
