Awesome Pokemon that suck

Cacturne, Dunsparce, Ditto, Sharpedo, Skuntank, Magmortar, and seconding Xatu.

Oh, and poor Farfetch'd ;-; If only that badass samurai bird evolution were real....

I really like Ariados and the stats dont live up to that Smex poke.
I hope that Gen 5 Brings an evo where HE ACTUALLY HAS 8 pineappleing LEGS LIKE A SPIDER.

I never understood how they thought SPIDER == SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, most spiders I've seen are pretty fast critters.

Agree with this as well. Nobody even really remembers it. It was found in what, like 2 caves in the game? Was used by no major trainers, and is an easily forgettable Pokemon.

I searched everywhere in Crystal for that little thing, never really visited caves because I never got Flash.
It's pretty good, 100% +1 S.Att in combination with a 60 base Electric attack is okay, and so is 60% flinch rate and the ability to paralyze even ground types.

Another Pokémon for the list;

Agreeing with Dunsparce. One of my favorite Normal types, but it really sucks.

This badass motherfucker gets my vote.

Arcanine is also in this category, the only notable thing about it in-game is Extremespeed.

Fix.

Flare Blitz makes it a beast.
Extreme Speed makes a huge dent in anything that doesn't resist it.
And it can even be a mix since it has great special attack too. 0.o

Am I the only one who was thinking "penis used harden!" here?

Anyway, Haunter for me. A ghost with levitating hands that can learn all sorts of moves and is immune to ground moves? AWESOME. Shame it has low stats for everything but Special Attack and moderate speed. :l

Fire type and a lack of stat boosting is the only thing wrong with Arcanine.

They're pretty nice. It's just Gamefreak fucked most electric and fire types up by giving everyone Earthquake and Stealth Rock, but it's not as if they're unusable. They're not bad at all.

Edit - I didn't mention Farfy yet? Man, this dude is long overdue for an evolution.

SAMURAI.
DUCK.

You'd expect it to be some fast hitting fucker with an attack that'll slice you into a million pieces before you can even blink. But no, instead it's a freaking slow bird Pokemon with a generic movepool that every other bird Pokemon can do better with. This thing will die in one hit, and is too slow to at least get one blow on the opponent before it goes down. On top of that, he's not even in a common place or anything. You have to hunt down an NPC that's begging to part with it in Red/Blue, and I think it's a rare pokemon next to Moo moo farm in Gold/Silver if I remember correctly.

Poor Farfy.

i think i agree with Ceddy. there hasnt ever been a flying/fighting hybrid, and Farfetch'd is a samurai duck. maybe it upgrade from a leek to a daikon radish. xP

Which are two pretty big things with Stealth Rock and the prevalence of boosting sweepers. Also, I was thinking more in-game, it's a b'itch to get in HGSS.

In SS, maybe, since its not available in the wild. in HG, just go to the patch of grass before ecruteak city. plenty there, among stantler and pidgeys.

Wasn't even looking for Growlithe when I found it in HG. It's pretty common. Fire stones are easily available from Bug-catching Contest or Pokeathlon.

I haven't done Pokethlon, so I can't speak for that, but I've never gotten anything not named "Sun Stone" from the Bug-Catching contest. Combined with owning Soul Silver, Arcanine becomes incredibly difficult to obtain.

Srsly. <_<
I think I'm at two Suns, a Leaf, and an Everstone atm. Why did they ever stray away from selling stones in a store, like RBY/FRLG?

But I find Growlithe ALL THE TIME. They're kind of annoying. Happily trade you one for a Vulpix. xP

Adding Carnivine to the mix, used him to sweep the Elite 4 on my first run through along with a Torterra.
