Posted it in a thread in the Evan section.
Fiel Wrote:I did some digging:

- Found the CS item which gives the mastery
- Could not find a traditional mastery book that gives it
- Looked through the monsterbook data and didn't see anything regarding it
- Looked in quest data for a quest which would give this skill - nope
- Looked everywhere in Item.wz for any possible item that could give a mastery - nope

I can't find it.

Fair trade off IMO. The glasses originally required PSoK to transfer, but Nexon made it Account Transferrable. Magic Guard is only 2k, which is cheaper than PSoK.

If you're only making Evan for the glasses, you don't even need to bother with Critical Magic and Booster since you can level to 100 just fine without them.

And if you're making an evan for the fun of it, and actually plan to play it? The problem is less how much it costs, and the fact that with this they officially made the game pay2play. Sure, the game is a helluva lot easier with 2x cards, pets, AP resets, etc, but you could get the same skills, the same AP points, and pretty much the same equips as anyone else. Now you can't.

This game already became pay2play when we had to drop medals\other untradable items to have room for equips without extending the inventory.

Hime Wrote:Okay, guys. I've have more information about the mastery books in the Cash Shop.

I originally said that the books were earn-able in-game as that was the information given to me. From reading all the discussions about the books, I went to find more information.

The current mastery books in the Cash Shop are only available in the Cash Shop. In the near future, those books will be available through other methods. With that said, other mastery books are available in-game through rare boss drops.

I understand this isn't what you guys want to hear but I found it to be important to share.

Well, Nexon sure is worthless.

I urge anyone who hasn't sent a letter to the consumerist, but is intending to, to include this. Trying to bump the profits they lost by being a negligent shithole company up by making us pay for something that should be free (with a little work) is ridiculous and unscrupulous.

Show me a SS of your 2k NX then, and I'll show you a SS of me without 2k NX.

No they didn't. I don't know if your friends are jerking you around or if you're lying or if they did something else, but no. Nexon did not give out any free NX.

The issue here is that these books are imperative to gameplay as an evan, and there is a fatal glitch associated with not getting them before 40. They are forcing people who want to play to pay, which goes against their free to play model. They may not be a charity but the money they'll make alone from launching a new job with a separate cash shop is more than enough to make this utterly ridiculous.

What happened to "never charged before?"
NX Credit is only earned through Paypal. Second of all those are Maple Points, which are given through Surveys.
