Yeah, it's true... We're far from it. Though, as long as you ONLY press Screw Punch and Dragon Strike over and over and over non-stop without any kind of delay in your button pressing, you will never get hit. HOWEVER, as soon as you add a different attack to that or you switch to using Back Elbow instead of Screw Punch, you're wiiiiide open to all attacks. So if your training consists of anything except constant Screw Punch -> Other Attack -> Screw Punch -> Other Attack, you will still get hit a lot.
This Balance patch, to me, feels like a large middle finger to us Vipers from Nexon. We're still faaaar behind the reset of the classes in DPS and we really don't have anything to show we're special, since Shadowers and Night Lords have much higher avoid rates than us Vipers, so they get hit a LOT less.
I haven't been able to make a video of this yet, since Nexon Japan kind of f'ucked up the game so the ENTIRE game is completely incompatible with Windows Vista and 7, so I get a shi't ton of visual basic errors on Windows 7, and due to the Gachapon event, the game is like Scania's FM Entrance CH 1 with the Gachapon Notice spam... It's fucking annoying and it lags the pineapple out of the game. I'll keep attempting to make a video of this to show you guys, but for now, I just wanted to inform you how much these "awesome Viper updates" were really a flop.
Then again, maybe I just expected more than I should have. =/

Sounds to me like you're just doing it wrong. If i had faster dragon strike i would never be hit.

Well, I haven't touched my Viper training wise in 6+ months, if not almost a year already, but I keep getting hit when I use Back Elbow. When I only do Screw Punch > Dragon Strike/Rapid Fist/Energy Blast > Repeat, I stay 100% untouched, but if I do anyting else, I get hit.

You're supposed to be vulnerable when you use BSB, but this isn't any different from what it was before.

That's the point I'm trying to make. There's really no change with training from before.
Oh, and I forgot to mention... Using Transform or Super Transform with training after these updates is devistatably bad. The frames for each attack are SLOWER now, unless only Nexon Japan f'ucked up, and I can hardly ever do Screw Punch > Dragon Strike without getting hit before Dragon Strike.

Except for faster dragon strike, which gets you across the platform faster/kills faster. And stance, and stunning blast, which is always nice.
That's not good...

I never had any trouble on my buc doing
Barrage -> corkscrew -> Double upper -> Barrage -> Corkscrew...
I don't seem to get hit at all when I do this 0.o
Or did I just get extremely lucky until level 135 (stopped there, haven't trained him since).

It isn't hard to do barr -> CSB -> DU, but it's weaker than just barr -> CSB.

You can't really expect to be invulnerable 100% of the time, 100% of the situations. Be glad you can avoid practically all attacks if you know what you do.

I guess.. But Shadowers practically have faster attacks, higher damage (at least DPS wise), more avoidability, invulnerability frames, etc.
Us Vipers don't really have anything that makes us unique when every other class can do what we do.

I thought you only used backspin when you'd backspin into the clear. And buccaneers do have barrel, which no other class has.

Ooooh! Barrel! That's soo incredibly useful! We just sit there and do NOTHING really useful as every other class whails on the boss. *jumps for joy*
When you're rushing forward and using Dragon Strike, not all of the mobs move forward with you all of the time, so it's much more efficient to use Back Elbow to go backwards and stun the mobs, allowing you to do more damage while keeping the mobs infront of you, than to constantly change direction with Screw Punch to try to keep the mobs together.

This is 100% invincibility, but it's deathly slow training since you're only killing like 1 mob.
I've always had trouble doing a backspin--> DS. That's the point where i always get hit unless i rapid press my keyboard buttons to try and beat the lag.

what about speed infusion and time leap?

Not everyone needs Speed Infusion and Time Leap isn't necessary enough to make a character to level 120 for, really... I think Bishops don't mind waiting 10 minutes for Resurrection. Every other skill doesn't need to be recasted right away.

15 minutes is a pretty long wait time. If someone dies, especially a buyer, TL is necessary.

I could have sworn Resurrection was 10 minutes. O_o -rechecks-
Edit : Oh, it's 30 minutes... Either way, in JapanMS, Vipers aren't even asked for for Time Leap. They just ignore us and kick us out unless we're the barrel mule. And they only want ONE of that EVER. Even if the barrel mule can't be there, they don't allow others.

We were both wrong. It's 30 min cooldown. I thought it was 30 minutes but for some reason chopped off 15 probably because i was thinking of ST. >_>

Didn't we just get a critical damage increase? Though that's only helpful for training, since you can crit on bosses.
Instead of just ranting I ask all buccs/vipers out there, what would make the class better? what is needed? what do you want?
Real passive crits so we can hit on bosses?
More damage on certain skills?
Have the stupid slow attacks in transformation fixed?
Make energy charge stack with pots?
More avoid?
What would you change on the class, ideas?
