Another incentive to watch TLA: It's going up against Twilight: Eclipse for the July top box office spot. A few people I know are watching TLA just to spite Twilight... Oh, and Sokka/Jackson Rathbone's acting in Twilight as well. Hmm.
I can bear Dragonball Evolution if I think of it as a separate enitity to Dragonball. I like the adaptions, like the Astro Boy film I really enjoyed it. I've never been a fan of Astro Boy but the movie I found really enjoyable. I like Twilight, I enjoyed the books. So I'll be seeing Avatar TLA and Eclipse. I like movies based on books or tv shows, it's a shame that so many of them flop. It'd be nice if they could put the hard yards in rather then go 'OH ITS POPULAR LET'S MAKE A FILM NOWW!'

lol he's getting money from twitards AND avatar people. I think he's in a good spot even if the movies are crappy. He'll have a cut of just the fangirls' money from Twilight cause they'll watch it cause : SPARKLY VAMPIRES <3<3<3
Anyway i might watch it depending if there are any good movies out along with it. I think it's worth a movie hop.

I might watch it, not sure. I watched the cartoon a bit here and there, I'm sorta interested in it. For a cartoon that shows up on Nick, it wasn't bad at all.

Too bad they let those blue creatures steal part of the name, should have released the movie earlier.

The reference was to the fact Cameron had already copyrighted "Avatar" for his film so they couldn't have the full name from the cartoon for the movie.

Oh, is that why? I thought he did it on purpose for whatever reason.

He still has the burn, it's just not as pronounced. I think the important thing behind the scar is that he has it, not how big it is.

Nope. Corporate screwage.

But neither the film (well, it wouldn't be assuming "Avatar" never existed) nor the cartoon is just "Avatar". >_>

Did you have a point?
Copyright still prevents the reuse of the term as a titular reference when it would dilute the registered trademark.

Other than that copyright is retarded, no.
Y u so angry?

I already know it's set in stone. It just bothers me that copyright would get in the way of something so trivial.

Why would asking you what the point of stating the obvious was imply anger?
If someone wandered into a conversation and informed the participants that "Apple begins with A" wouldn't you ask them the relevance?

I dunno. Saying it like that made it seem full of irritability to me. (or some other word that isn't as strong as hate)

Are you trying to say my post had no relevance? O_o

Not having an identifiable point would be the standard reason for asking one, yes, and reiterating the point with an analogy makes two times... So a third way of saying "yes" seems somewhat redundant.
There's no value in pursuing this side-track any further though.

Figures. It seems to be the reason for everything nowadays...
