Where are you guys at on your Heart Gold/Soul Silver playthrough?

Spent a couple hours getting Rare candies over as well as 3 of my high level Pokemon from Diamond over. Found out my Cyndaquil has the following IV ranges (calculated at level 22. Needed to adjust how much EVs I got from Pidgeys, Sentrets, and a misc pokemon here and there):
HP: 30-31
ATK: 24-25
DEF: 12-13
SP ATK: 18-21
SP DEF: 20-24
SPD: 14-18

Speed may be a little lower, but the rest checks out. I'm rather happy I got such a strong female starter, and without the need to RNG/reset abuse either.

Protip: If the characteristic is "Loves to eat", the HP IV is 30, and if it's "Often dozes off", it's 31.

at clairs gym. have a now 32 Glaceon, 30 Giratina, and 3x R.Gyarados thats currently in the day-care to use. Where should/could i fight to level up enough to defeat her/get my team around 36 all around?

I didn't know characteristics hint at their IVs. I have "Often dozes off", so 31 IV IN HP??

I was hoping for more on how you soft reset to find them shiny. With something like Groudon, its pretty straight forward. But with traveling pokemon?

Get something to take care of her Gyarados, then Ice Fang sweep her team. :|

Personally, I'd just rush to Victory road, then train there. If you REALLY want to train hoar, store your money with mother / buy crap and fight Claire over and over again, losing at the last moment. Dragonairs are great Experience.

Saved next to Sudowoodo after a long battle with Miltank. Quilava is at level 32.

Managed to catch somewhere around 20 new pokemon in the safari zone so far. After you get passed the initial confusion, it's really awesome because you can manipulate which pokemon spawn.

Grinding up my Pokemon now. Traded Female Japanese Eevee to Tobias and he helped me move eggs to my HG file.

I thought Pokérus could spread trough boxes and parties too. So maybe they infected eachother.
And wow, I've never had Pokérus after Crystal, where I released the Pokémon with it because I thought it was bad. =|

Boxes: No

Pokerus is rarer than getting a Shiny, people say about 1/3 of that.

I ended up catching around 50 new pokemon from the safari zone last night... haha.

Their levels make prepped for evolution immediately. Not to mention the already evolved ones can just be bred for pre-evolutions. Safari Zone in HG/SS rules.

Just got to Kanto after beating the E4 with high 30's i need to grind it out some before i hit up Lt.Surge

Grinded a little more and all the Lev req evolution pokemon evolved to their 2nd form.

Riolu Evolved into Lucario after getting enough Happiness on it.

Levelled the Lucario to lv 22

Just beat Whitney and got my Plain badge. Both her pokemon were OHKO.

You realize everything about roaming Pokemon are set right before they're released into the grass, right?

I love how you can talk to your Pokemon. I had my Quilava get mad at me because I tried to take away its Lucky Egg.

But at the Pokemon Center later it suddenly went up and hugged me. Adorable.

...im still stuck at Claire, cant beat the peach. so instead of driving myself nuts, ive decided to do the pokathlon some. might do the second task of the safari zone.

for having hacked pokemon/items in plat, im really finding it hard to stay resolute and not trade them over and fight with a legit team on HG. i could just xfer over my wondereye and have no worries, but im not going to.
