To whoever said that Evans do suck at bosses.

For a level 111, beating Frankenroid in less than a minute is quite impressive, especially for a magician. Doing 30k with criticals at 11x is just completely insane.

LOL inoerite? although you give manon and griffy too much credit, semi-mini bosses at most for those :p Hooray for Evan killing boss nobody cares about x-x. Kill something worthwhile in a respectable amount of time and then we'll see.

Which boss would a level 111 KMS player would solo? They don't have Anego, Samurai, Bigfoot, HH, or some boss for that level. People there don't even dare to face Manon, Griffey or Papulatus at early 12x, much less at 111.

It's a video, showing an Evan fighting BOSSES, a Frankenroid has a decent amount of Def and HP for his level, and can be, for sure, compared to a boss.
This video shows the damage dealt, there aren't many videos of Evans bossing, much less soloing these.
It shows how an Evan may face a boss, regardless of it being on Dojo and before Manon and Griffey, it's still an Evan, still the same skill, and the same way of fighting a boss.

It was pretty obvious that a level 111 in KMS wouldn't fight any boss other than Dojo ones. This video doesn't show you an Evan fighting a hella strong boss. But it's still a proof that they can, and beat bosses at a decent speed, just compare it to other jobs.
Oh, you expect a 111 Evan to solo an Anego, Zakum, Papulatus and such? Even other adventurers, Dual Bladers, and Arans may find difficulties to solo a boss like that in such level, are you expecting that for an Evan?

People aren't hesitant to go to Griffy/Manon in KMS. We're not that far behind on equips.

I didn't say that. I said that Evans wouldn't even try to fight a Griffey at 111. Specially because in KMS, People tend to kill it pretty much, and it drops valuable skillbooks, making it to be crowded.
KMS equip difference is nothing. That doesn't even matter. Griffey is crowded for his drops, Manon for HT. I never mentioned KMS being behind other maples in equips, neither said that this was the reason an evan wouldn't try to kill such bosses.

You're assuming that i intend to find a video of a 111 evan fighting anego/BF/zak/etc.

People say "X class sucks at bossing" with HIGH LEVEL BOSSING IN MIND. This is no where near high level bossing, and yet you draw the conclusion that "evans DON'T suck at bosses" just because evans are half decent at killing a PQ boss meant for characters in their 7x?

They're not that crowded. I do them from time to time just for fun.

Mages were considered the strongest class in the 1st job. I guess that means they're always the best.

Marauders can't really do that as fast. Neither can other mages.

Thing is you're forgetting that those "7x" people that do that in the actual PQ can actually use potions.... that changes the whole game. Keep that in mind. Even at 135 as an Aran I can have troubles with franky if he poisons me and then 1/1's. The lack of potion use really changes things.

Uh but thats the thing, who cares if he can kill it easier than you? like TakeBacker stated earlier nobody cares about stupid bosses such as this. Also like someone stated mages are strongest at first job, so because they kill king slime the best we should praise them as one of the best bossing classes? Get real, kill the bosses that matter. The higher end bosses, do them in a respectable amount of time then you can earn the title of a good bosser.

It's hard to compare a 3rd jobber bossing with a 4th jobber, because every class gets new skills that increase their damage. Every class can do the job, some just more efficient, some faster. It seems I have underestimated Evan at bossing, so thanks for the video.

Hey wow, my 106 DK can kill Frankenroid in about 1:40. With Fury. :o Evans beat a mob skill at 1vs1 dps, tell everyone. My time is fairly dependent on the order he buffs though, if he casts Darkness before summoning anything it takes me a minute longer >_>

I don't know if pot usage is really an issue. I can avoid his damage pretty easily when using Fury, it should be even easier with ranged attacks since you can hit him when he's on the other side of the poison cloud.

This video fails to prove that Evans are powerful bossers, which is what the main statement said against them, it only proves that Evans can do better in certain situations then other classes, which shouldn't be a surprise, however at the same time the skills between 8th Mastery, and 9th and 10th Mastery change drastically, and you can't really compare a video of what would be a 3rd job Evan to 4th job bossing, and you certainly can't compare how good the 9th and 10th mastery skills are in Bossing or Bossing Situations based on a 3rd job Character, its like trying to compare a Hermit owning other classes in killing speed in 3rd job, and saying that because of that they are faster killers then other classes and don't suck horribly in solo during 4th.

or perhaps a better analogy, you can't use Magician 1v1 1st job dps to say that they will be one of the strongest 1v1ers in 4th job, it just does not work out like that.

No one is going to make those videos if you keep saying "nice try, but evans are the worst class in the game still". The point is, they can keep up. Period. If anything, that DPS would get better with future mastery skills. There are plenty of videos out there of higher level evans dishing out ~150k damage on bosses.
