How do you guys do it? Normal and ground types are some of the most badass looking Pokemon in the game yet they're always difficult to raise because I'm the type of papaya that throws a water type out when facing a fire type and expect a 1hko. Thus making Pokemon with elements the easiest to raise. But that little chance to raise ground and normal types and usually I just end up shuffling through grass to raise my flying types.

The only normal types I've raised were Zangoose and the Porygons. In both cases, they had a pretty decent move sets. I don't see whats so bad about them.

No STAB is a bit sad, but a lot of normal types have surprisingly virsitile move pools. They can usually learn elemental attacks. At that point, its just like a Grass/water/w.e. type without the stab or weakness.

I've never raised a Normal-type Pokemon, I think. I always had Normal/____ something, but never pure. Actually, my bad. I raised Slaking, which had TRUANT ability. Which sucked, mighty big Dragonite balls... I used one of those items that splits EXP, it's a held item, forgot name. Basically, go to E4 over and over. This is before I started competitive Ruby.

Could this magical item that shares experience be called the EXP Share?

Tauros is one of my favorite normal types. With Return, it is a force to reckoned with.
