Choosing Starters
#1
Are you inclined towards Grass, Fire or Water? Or just don't care and choose the best looking one?

I've always been inclined to choose the Fire based Pokemon, even though my very first one was a Squirtle. After that, they've all been Fire type, from Charmander to Chimchar. Most likely in the 5th generation I'll choose a Fire type, unless the other ones look really bad ass.

Best looking one. Which is normally fire types, almost all grass types are ugly, and water types are hit and miss.

I mostly go for the good-looking ones, because I end up using other Pokémon instead of my starters.

Fire generally have the best stats, plus they generally look good.

Never played 4th generation, but all of their starters are ugly.

I usually go for the Fire type because ever since Charmander, I've been attached.

True. Though the monkey is okay since it's a monkey rip off of Charizard and all.

Always went for Fire. Only in FR did I went with Bulbasaur, because Charizard has shitty stats (and typing).

I skim over the pokemon's uses and go for an offensive one. This tends to be fire. If I had to choose a starter for HGSS, it'd probably be Chikorita though. Imported Spheal, Water/Ice.

SoulSilver is the only game where I picked a different starter, this being a water type.

Cyndaquil is ugly.

1st Gen: Squirtle
2nd Gen: Totodile
3rd Gen: Mudkip
4th Gen: Turtwig (Empoleon sux)

Water Pogeys are generally the best way to go. How can anyone pass up a BLASTOISE or a F[Image: lol.htm]UCKING ALLIGATOR? Swampert is part ground; what more could you possbily ask for in a water Pokemon?!

Fire starters are for casuals.

Cyndaquil is ugly.

So you picked Totodile which is even more ugly? Wat? Though I have to admit all of the starters in Johto are ugly in their first, second or third stage.

Ok, bro.

Rather have bad ass Alligator than some strange rat with an erupting back.

I go for looks, but my tastes are different than most. I don't know how many times I've heard "I always pick Fire."

1st gen - Bulbasaur
2nd gen - Cyndaquil
3rd gen - Treecko
4th gen - Piplup

Meganium is a bad ass dinosaur. Top that.

But, but, Feraligatr is so ugly. And so is Croconaw. Cyndaquil is at least a little cute, while Quilava is pretty meh and Typhlosion is somewhat bad ass. Chikorita sucks the most, being only a little cute. While both Bayleef and Meganium are some of the worst looking starter Pokemon to date. With Meganium being the second most ugly grass starter.

Ok, bro.

"Ok, guys. Let's start thinking of a fire starter for our 5th gen game."

"BOSS, I'VE GOT AN IDEA"

"What is it, Ralph?!"

"ALRIGHT... WE'RE GONNA TAKE SOME RANDOM ANIMAL THAT CHILDREN CAN EASILY RECOGNIZE..."

"Alright?!"

"...AND PUT FLAMES ALL OVER IT!"

"THAT'S BRILLIANT!"

I started with those except for 2nd gen, Cyndaquil for that. Though I did pick Totodile on my playthrough on my other version. o:

It has flowers. Girly, pink flowers.

Fire ones are the best and then Water types.
