Capturing Legendaries

I caught Suicune with half hp and while asleep with 1 ultra ball. I lol'd. Then, I went and I did some math with the Pokemon Catch rates and formulas, here's what I came up with:

( ( ( (3 x 141) - (2 x 66) ) ( 3 ) ( 2 ) ) / ( 3 x 141 ) ) ( 2 ) = 8.25531915.

8.25531915 / 255 = 0.0323738006.

0.0323738006 = 3%.

in Blue i caught Mewtwo with a pokeball after exhausting all my great and ultra balls. thing wasnt afflicted with any statuses neither. =/

I caught lugia after 12 dusk balls, 1 great ball, and one ultra ball.

I caught Mewtwo with one of my 999 Master Balls in Red. I also caught many Missingos that later evolved into Kangaskahns.

I don't have any cool stories. I always use false swipe and then just throw Ultra Balls until I have it.

Leaf Green event Ho-Oh. I was at it for maybe a full 2 hours, and it popped out of every ultra ball. I was planning on just restarting the fight at this point, but wanted to just try my luck a bit. I threw everything I had left at it, until I only had one single Dive Ball left.

Guess what it got caught with?

I tend to catch all the legendaries in my school. I'm handed a DS 7 to 8 times a year to catch something like Mewtwo, Giritina, Ho-Oh, Lugia (due to the release of HG/SS. A lot more people bought it in my school then I expected), etc etc. I manage to catch them with red HP ultra balls but I restart the game sometimes c:.

Master Balls has the highest 'value' or something. I forgot, but on Serebii or was it Smogon.. there was a list that showed that each balls had a certain 'digit' assigned to it. I know for Timer Balls, it's +10 or something for every 10 turns. The higher the number, the higher the chances. Timer Ball was most effective out of any other ball in the game (besides MasterBall, which was like 99,999 or something.)

Master ball is 255. The catch rate has a maximum of 255. Most legendaries have a catch rate of 3, to put it into perspective.
