Adventurer Rings discussion
#1
With the possibility of them coming out with Evans, I thought of creating a topic to discuss in detail the nature and useful of these rings for different jobs. What rings would be better for what jobs? Which ring are you picking for your job?

How to get the rings?

Cassandra gives you a challenge. Well... Actually two challenges.
If you level up 30 times from your current level, you can get the Adventurer’s Cruel Ring.
If you level up from Lv. 1 ~ 50, you can get the Adventurer’s Cruel Ring, Adventurer’s Critical Ring, or the Adventurer’s Magical Ring.
You can get all three rings on one character. All you need to do is raise many characters to Lv. 50.
You can NOT wear Lilin’s Ring and a Adventurer Ring at the same time. And you can only wear ONE Adventurer Ring.

So woo, since many people should be high leveled already, time to create level 1-50 Adventurer mules. At least it's not as painful as 1-70 Aran mules. 1-50 is easy enough and I find the rings better than the stupid level 100 time limited Evan Glasses.

I guess that for mages it's no contest, you get your magical ring; if you can't 1hit KO yet, 6 second stunning ultimates should help you to save pots. Damage hoars like sins probably will probably prefer the cruel ring. How about buccaneers? We only get criticals when we stun, and additional 8% passive stun for 6 seconds sounds extremely sexy. Can I imagine Dragon Strike stunning for 6 seconds? Yum. It's also a nice extra boost for skills like Energy Blast, which will also stun in the future. I heard you like stuns so we added stuns to your double uppercut so you can stun while you stun, etc.

How about other jobs? What's the common consensus on which ring is better for each job? Which one are you guys gonna pick?

By the way, which one should a paladin use?

They aren't time limited.
Edit: unless the balance patch comes this patch, I wouldn't get too excited.

Classes that have innate crit (NL, BM, MM, Aran, Evan) or any class with SE/Thorns cast on them will want the Crit ring because it's much stronger, no contest. Otherwise, Cruel ring for physical classes and Magical ring for magical classes. Buccs are open for debate, since they could benefit from any of the 3 rings in a weird way, but everyone else has an obvious, possibly situational choice (Crit ring).

Would cruel ring be more viable for stable damage or crit ring for a paladin?

Doesn't the magical ring give better DPS for mages even with SE?

He means the event to get the glasses, which is time limited.

Cruel ring. By far, the crit ring does virtually nothing for paladins using ACB or blast

I guess ill be making yet another adventurer to get a crit ring for my BM. I dont think Ill do any of them for my Bucc, since I already have a lvl 3 Lilins ring, and theres not much of a difference except the criticals, which wouldnt change much since we dont have passive crits. Though, if the new pirate skill balancing thats supposed to happen includes a change to their critical skill, Ill probably get one.

I was under the impression that critical ring was the best ring for every class, period.

How long do you get to level from 1-50?

No, my question would be... What adventurer class is better to train on that frame? As in, faster.

FYI: Critical ring is the best ring for buccaneers. 8% stunning won't be very beneficial since if you happen to stun with DS, chances are you're just going to CSB which means there's a 50% chance on a mob of 6 that the monster you just stunned becomes unstunned.

I think that a sin would be the easiest if you have friends that will help you CPQ in the rombot stage. Killing rombots there is awesome.

Likewise a warrior. Make an HB mule?

Brawler/Warrior
edit: Only problem is if you want to easily achieve with them, you need some sort of funding for them..

Warriors hands down. With subway PQ first job is a breeze.

Brawlers are pretty easy to train too, but are slower than warriors 30-50.

I was thinking the same thing.
Assuming the rings follow the same logic that SE does and 10% crit damage is actually 110% added onto the skill multiplier then the difference between 120% and 110% is minimal compared to the 5% and 10% chance to activate it-- though I haven't read much on these rings so idk, if it's a multiplier of the actual damage and not an addition to the skill multiplier it could be different, if someone could enlighten me that'd be great.
