Point of the return to NLC scroll?
#1
To be able to get it, you have to go through a lot of hard work, but I don't see the point in it.
If you use a return to town scroll anywhere in NLC now, that will bring you back to town, and if you use one in the Phantom Forest or CK, it will take you to the mansion, one map away from NLC.
So why would you need these scrolls at all? <_<

Can they work cross-continents? That would leave the problem of getting back, though (omega -> NLC)

same reason u need a return to henesys scroll training near henesys. If you dont have a return to town scroll, you always have a back-upGlitter

From gryphons and wolf spiders, return to town scrolls don't work.

From gyphons you can just use the pits to get 2 maps away from town.

From wolf spiders, I guess warriors find it a blessing?

Return scrolls didn't work anywhere in the Krakian Jungle or the MesoGears, last time I checked.

Question...why would you have specific town scrolls as a backup to nearest town scrolls? Especially (Well, only Vic has return scrolls) in Vic, where the taxi is your main means of transportation?

...except SW.

lol You'd likely have this junk if you were in your 2nd job (and have the inventory space for it).

Personally, I'd set aside some space for them for the chocolate heart (free charms) quest. It just saves me time.

Takes you back to the hummer taxi at the mansion.

Oh, I didn't try it at Gryphons/Spiders, but I assumed you could use it there since it worked in the bigger ben. Still not very useful, it doesn't take much work to go from spiders to the lobby.
It works at the I.AM.ROBOT/Electrophant map though.

They worked in Meso Gears for me when I tried a few hours ago.

I think it'll be useful when there're a lot more towns in Masteria, and it's not a piece of cake to get back to NLC.

Wait. What the pineapple at you guys "correcting" me and not even testing to see if it works yourself.

I just went to Gryphons and used a return to town scroll. It worked.
I went to spiders and used one. It worked.
I went as FAR into mesogears as I could and used one. It worked.

Yep, that's pretty much the point. Note that the Crimsonwood Keep map marker is Blue; blue represents a town, which the keep (at the moment?) certainly is not. However, knowing what prose said about future expansion to the keep and it not being as far off as we'd believe, i'm thinking they may implement a town map inside the gates of the keep, or perhaps elsewhere outdoors. If this were the case then using return to towns wouldn't work so well on the far side of the Jump Quest, as that'd send you to Crimsonwood.

Anyway I guess all that's just speculation for now, and they don't really serve a unique purpose yet.

Maybe when the expansion of masteria goes further on, training in some distant areas will send you to CK or Krakia (if it is a town)

My feeling is, they were going to release the inside of the keep in the same patch, but after developing maps, ideas, and likely another PQ, they thought the patch was too big and they would save it for later.

Maybe this Hallowe'en we'll get another 1 time event where we have to battle to clean up the Keep, and then afterwards it'll be a town centre, they can leave the corrupted Windreavers etc. in the caves underneath it to battle.
