[Anime] Ash and the Elite 4

Does anyone else think that Ash will face the Elite 4 in this generation of the anime? It seems as if this is the first time they're actually introducing all of the Elite 4 members in the anime, as if saying that he'll face them in the future.

Kanto: Ash met Lorolei (Prima), Bruno, and Lance, as well as Agatha, although he didn't meet her until he was done with Kanto, and Blue, although I'm not sure if he really "counts," seeing as he was never really part of the Elite 4. (So Ash did technically meet everyone, although he didn't see Agatha until after everything was done.)

Johto: Ash never saw Will nor Koga (while he was acting as an Elite 4 member) or Karen, although he did meet Bruno and Lance. (Saw 2, didn't see 3)

Hoenn: Never saw Sidney, Pheobe, or Glacia. Ash did see Drake, Steven, and Wallace, although he didn't see the latter until he was in Sinnoh. (Saw 2 - technically 3, didn't see 3)

Sinnoh (going off of the Japanese version): Ash has seen Aaron, Flint, Lucian, and Cynthia, and is set to see Bertha on April 1st. (Seen 4, set to see the last 1)


Going off of that, then, if he does face the Elite 4, do you think he'll defeat them? If he loses, specify who you think he'll lose against.

I know about the Bertha stuff, and I probably should have mentioned whom he lost to.

From those he's actually seen:

Kanto: Lost to Lorolei (Prima in the anime), never battled Bruno nor Lance, lost to Agatha, and won/lost to Blue/Gary Oak (they've had many battles).

Johto: Never battled Bruno nor Lance.

Hoenn: Lost to Drake, never battled Steven nor Wallace.

Sinnoh: Never battled Aaron, got owned by Flint (Flint's Infernape killed Ash's Pikachu, Buizel, and Infernape), never battled Lucian (although Lucian did beat Dawn's Buizel, which would soon become Ash's), Cynthia never battled Ash (although she owned 4 of Paul's Pokemon with only her Garchomp, and since Paul beat Ash, we can assume that he too would get owned by Cynthia), and is probably going to lose against Bertha.

Blue and Gary Oak are two different people, for the record. Not interchangeable. Same goes for Ash and Red.

Thing is, I'm starting to wonder if it's different universes we're talking about here. I never read the manga, but if we're comparing this to anime, would Red, Blue, and all of them be in the anime? The creator never mentioned that they did not exist, right?

They are two different "characters," but I think we can safely assume that Gary is Blue's anime counterpart and Ash is Red's anime counterpart, just like how May is May's anime counterpart and Dawn is Dawn's anime counterpart.

They're completely different universes. I haven't read the manga, but I know a couple of events that happen in it. I'll go over Kanto - 4 protagonists (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow), two starter Pikachus, Zapmulcuno, evil gym leaders, evil Elite 4, and two second gen Pokemon. That's a condensed version.
