Like above, I thought the majority of these were crap BS (as they are), until I found this one cheat that seemed legit to get Mew in Red or Blue. Restarted my Blue version, played for 6 hours to get to the point you needed to be at, and lo and behold it actually worked. Lv. 100 Mews all over my R/B/Y/G/S/C now.

The legit Mew cheat was discovered at about 3rd gen if I recall correctly, so by that time you didn't really need it.

That's a parody of them, most of them are dead by now (tripod doesn't exist anymore, and I think maxpages deletes a ton of inactive sites or something). I assure you, even though that's a parody, it isn't exaggerating. Most codes and web pages were that horrible. People loved eye hurting colors and wacky .gif animations tiled in the background.
You can probably still find some funny gems if you search "Pokegod" in google.
Oh god, this is so f'ucking true. I remember loving those sites. Now I find them extremely annoying -sigh- [/color]

What's that?
Off the top of my head, the one I did revolved around not fighting two specific trainers, then, once you got Fly, you'd go to one and press "Start" the moment their "!" appeared. You'd Fly to Cerulean, and your start menu would be disabled. You'd then fight this one trainer on Route 20 or 21 above the city (the kid with one Lv. 19 Slowpoke), which would then fix your start menu. Then you'd simply Fly to Celadon and walk to Lavendar Town, avoiding all trainers and patches of grass. If you did everything correctly, a wild, Lv. 10 Mew would appear as you walked through the little single-person path that separates Lavendar Town from the western route.
I know it sounds totes fake, but again, I tried it and it surprisingly worked.

I know it sounds totes fake, but again, I tried it and it surprisingly worked. It does work, in other places as well. You don't "need" fly for it. You can use Abra's Teleport and find a level 7 Mew on the bridge near Cerulean (above it).

A long time ago, this dude bought a gameshark and found some Mew cheat. This was around second grade. The guy sort of just sat at a table, got out his gameshark, and asked if anyone wanted a Mew. A line formed that extended out of the classroom, and before the day was over, everyone had a level 5 Mew.
pomegranate was so cash.
