I just beat the Elite Four last night and arrived in Vermilion. That's where I set down my game and took a nice sleep. I'm surprised I'm 32 hours in and just did that. The battle against Lance was extremely epic.

Here's my team:

53 Typhlosion
53 Gengar (Fucking Beast Special Attacker)
49 Crobat (He sucks for some reason)
47 Lugia

HM Slaves:

50 Pikachu (Hacked to know Fly, Surf, Strength and Cut. Yes, I'm a horrible person)
30 Red Gyardos (Whirlpool and Waterfall)

I know this, but calling people with the Pokegear isn't anywhere near as efficient and convinient as the Vs. Seeker.

Just wanted to comment that there's going to be a Pokewalker event where you can catch a legit Pikachu that knows Surf. And you can catch another that knows Fly (hell if I know how a mouse can fly...)

Just beat Morty with a sleeping Golbat that woke up just in time. The first time through I stalemated him with a Eevee against his Gengar that was mean looked, so I couldn't switch or attack and vice versa. Going through to the next town right now.

sea route? cant you just start from pallet town to get to cinnabar?

You have to get the pokeflute radio extension in lavender before you can go to pallet and cinnabar. need to go through diglett tunnel

I don't remember how it worked in the original Gold and Silver, but when do you fight the Elite 4? Before you go to Kanto, or after you've beaten all of the gyms in Kanto?

You beat the Elite 4, and then Professor Elm gives you a ticket on the S.S. Aqua so that you can go to Kanto. Then you collect all the badges in Kanto.

Technically, you go to Kanto before beating the Elite 4, but you're only allowed to access the little area before Victory Road.

I just beat Red with only a 79 Typhlosion. The rest of my team was level 17 revive mules. He has TWO water pokemon. So. Effing. Hard.
