When did Anime embarrass you in a public place?

I'm sure of how embarrassing it might be if someone catches me watching anime since I only watch pornographic anime. I'll never watch it in a a public place though, that's for sure.

In my high school, 3/4 of the non ghetto guys watch anime, and about 1/2 the non ghetto girls....

Thats more of a conversation starter and a way to connect with kids.

Tbh, as long as you don't look like the typical anime-tard that sits on their ass 24/7 watching anime, I don't think most people would care.. I watch anime in class, and there are these 18-22 year old people behind and across from me. They don't watch anime, but they started to when I turned it on and watched it during class when the professor is too goddamn boring. They're more intrigued, if anything. If you snort like a pig, and start talking in Japanese when you're not, maybe they'd freak out a bit.

When I was with my friend at McDonalds, back when yugioh had promotional cards with the happy meal. My friend asked the guy behind the counter for a few card w/ his big mac or w/e. The guy working behind the counter said "OH, YOU WANT SOME OF THE YUGIOH CARDS THAT COME WITH THE HAPPY MEAL? HUH?!" loud enough to quiet a packed restaurant in manhattan. =__=
