WARNING !! glitched autoban at new maps

Posted this on sw.net as well.
Not sure if this should go in general or bowman but I'd like as many people as possible to be aware.

Using puppet and/or DB will get you autobanned in the new maps. (or at least it appears that way. Also I was using frostprey not sure if that had effect)

I don't know what exactly causes this problem since being banned stops me from testing it.

I've logged a ticket and of course haven't heard back yet.

As far as know this only affects archers. Yes, both Bowmasters and Marksman have been autobanned for this.

I've used those a ton and haven't gotten banned.

I've used Phoenix many times, and Puppet and Hawk for Bigfoots as well, no bans..

Yes I know, not everyone gets banned or at least right away. But, this is happening only to archers.

It may have something to do with the monster being attacked as well. I was DB'ing the elder wraiths and they seem temporarily unhittable while being DB'd. At the same time frostprey was attacking them I also notice that frostprey actually 'MISS'ed which I've never seen it do. Maybe the autoban system thinks I'm attacking a monster while it's invincible and perceives that to be hacking.

Yeah, I was using puppet all over the place. It's safe to say I can't get far into the area without it.

I wasn't using a summon, however, so it seems to me that IF there is a glitch at all (which I'm not completely convinced from one case, if there's more evidence on sleepywood then that may change my opinion.) then it's probably more related to summons than puppet.

I was there, DBing, Puppeting (DB + Puppet is a godsend against flying enemies), and I got no ban either. I didn't use Frostprey as much though, since the elderwraithes are immune to ice (which is why Frostprey did MISS on them).

OK, just to be clear for everyone since some of you seem to doubt this is a glitch.

1. Before the patch I was using DB and puppet and frostprey extensively as I was training at the cornian hidden map for kicks. (Never received a ban there)

2. I've made no changes or installed any new software prior to the patch.

3. I only run maplestory when I play except on occasion I have firefox open to check things on sw.net (I have avast A/V but that's never been a problem for me.)

4. The ban happened pretty much right after the last server check.

5. Other archers here and at other forums have reported getting banned in the same fashion.

6. Non archers have not reported this issue as far as I know.

Co-incidence? I don't think so.

I hadn't realized that they were immune to ICE but that makes a lot more sense now.

I think it might have to do with the Hidden-street in the Forgotten Path map. Combined with Dragon Breath and some other things may have triggered the auto ban.

I believe the glitch was only on elder wraith's.

Dragons breath, an enhanced pkb and shared fourth job skill.

Its not puppet, or eagle/hawk.
There would be more complaints if it involved skills which affect a larger portion of the population.

It most likely involves Frostprey though, we need more data on potential victims of this "glitch" to be sure.

likewise, puppet didn't seem to affect it...

but i haven't bothered to cast hawk... and still don't possess phoenix yet
