Hey! This is Kori here with ANOTHER question... >.< I was wondering, once I get to Hero, what should I use as my final sword? I've been really thinking 2-handed, but I can't decide between a more powerful but slower "The Beheader" or the weaker but faster "Devil's Sunrise." I will be scrolling it either way but... so help please?
As long you manage to scroll a decent Devil's Sunrise, you will have many advantages over The Beheader. The damage-difference is almost negligible, but the speed-difference is certainly noticeable.
(The best choice for an end-game weapon would be a Reverse Claymore as for now, though. But I never said that.)
Edit: My point of view looks probably biased due to my username, but I think this is the general point of view from any warrior out there using a 2-handed sword.

Haha kk, thanks. And I WAS thinking about doing a Dragon Claymore, but I decided to save that as a summer project. (The summer I become a Hero) Feel free to help with it?
If you're set on going 2-hand, probably either a Dragon Claymore or Reverse Nibleheim (previously called Reverse Claymore). It'll be fairly easy to find a pre-scrolled Dragon Claymore, you're more likely to find a better Dragon Claymore than Devil's Sunrise, and it's faster (thus doing more damage over time) than a Beheader. It's probably not worth the trouble trying to forge a Dragon Claymore, since the pieces are just too damn rare.
If you feel like hunting for pieces of time or paying a bit more, you can go the Reverse Nibleheim route.
However, if only presented between the two choices you posted, then Devil's Sunrise definitely. Nobody uses a Beheader because it's slow.

I'm afraid you're out of luck there buddy: I've quit MapleStory long time ago. I'm just "studying" it these days.

I think I'll do the Dragon Claymore, how much do they averagelly(?) cost? And if I were to make one, what do I need?
The spirits and scales are really rare making it not really worth forging. As for prices...I can't really say considering I don't know prices very well. D:

I'll try checking basil... but that's not always worthwile.... xD
Edit: I couldn't find any prices on Basil... D: But I did check Hidden Street and I suddenly remembered seeing some for around 110mill? :/
I also saw that I could get it from Henesys gachapon, is that true?

But then again I was thinking of maybe 1 handed. But then alot of people say I would need an attack Sheild... Is that true?
Yeah, like Wenbo said above me, there are other options if you're high dex. Commence random info that you may or may not care to read.
Spoiler
If you have 95 DEX total, you can try to get ahold of a Night Raven's Wing, which is one of the fastest 2h swords in Maplestory... however it'll likely come at a steep price. It's 96 att, 2 str clean, and it only available through forging by the CWK Ninja Clan, and one of the components (Raven's Wing) is only available through an exchange-quest in CWK.
If you have 120 DEX total, you could go the Stonetooth Sword option. Stonetooth Sword (also called Rigbol) is also one of the fastest 2h swords, but the 120 DEX requirement is a turnoff. It's average 101 attack base, and drops from Tengu/Black Crow. It also sports a high price if you were to buy it.
If you don't have obscene amounts of DEX, you have three choices, the ones above: Dragon Claymore, Reverse Nibleheim, Devil's Sunrise.
Reverse Nibleheim: Level 120, available through Maker. You'd need 45 Pieces of Time to do forge it with Maker, which would either require a lot of money, or a lot of time on your hands to hunt them in Temple of Time. If you forge it well, though, it will yield the highest attack/str of any of the weapons, but it's slower than both Night Raven's Wing and Stonetooth.
Dragon Claymore: Level 110, available through Maker, or purchase. They drop from Horntail too, but that's not exactly an option for you, unless you have very nice high-level friends. This is the happy median... if you manage to forge one with Maker, it will be close to what you would achieve with a Nibleheim, perhaps 10-ish attack lower, but like others have said, it's awful to find the Dragon Scales and Spirits. If you buy one, be prepared to face a moderately high price; not as high as Stonetooth or Night Raven's Wing, but more than a Devil's Sunrise.
Devil's Sunrise: Level 90, available through Maker, purchase or monster drop at HH, Zakum, Memory Trainees, Anego, Jr. Newties and Dark Cornians. This is the cheapest and easiest option you've got, and wouldn't be awful either. I'd suggest Makering one, if you've got the funds/resources to use a Diamond/Power Crystal on it, all the better.
If you want a tl;dr:
I'd suggest using a Devil's Sunrise due to the simplicity of getting a hold of one. Make/buy a moderately good one, preferably something with around 105-110 attack, and use that until you can either get the funds for a Rigbol/Night Raven's Wing it you've got a lot of DEX or a Nibleheim/Claymore if you don't.
hero is god dam lvl 120 why stick to lvl 100 crap.. you dont need dex/luk to aquip them so why invest your time on lower lvl weps.
if you cant aford a godly sheild make a 2h reverse sword if you can aford a godly shield make 1h reverse.

First of all, with the proper equips a Stonetooth/Night Raven Wing can beat the other 2h weapons in DPM, also they look a lot cooler ;D
The thing with a reverse 2h weapon is that you'll have scroll the weapon yourself (most of the time) and they have no resell value at all since they become untradeable after use. It's up to you, but in the realm of 2h weapons I really suggest finding a way to equip a ST or NRW. Make a reverse weapon if you can afford to have it mess up completely after you create it and scroll it.
I do agree with the above post if you were comparing a Devil's Sunrise with a Dragon Claymore though. Since neither of them have any difference except for weapon attack and level needed to equip. I'd definitely recommend getting the Claymore since it'll be more expensive to get a similar attack Devil's Sunrise (unless you really can not wait to have a high attack weapon).
I'm using a Beheader myself right now. It's decently scrolled and I managed to get it much cheaper than it would have costed me to scroll. It comes down to that, do you plan on scrolling your sword? If that's the case, do a Devil's Sunrise. You can usually talk someone into dropping the price on a Beheader since it is slower, and the damage/second difference is roughly 7-8% lower than a Normal (6) speed weapon with the same stats. Unless you can get the same weapon for that much more money, it's not worth it. That's what I seem to come across. I got my Beheader (115/6 I believe) for 60M in Demethos compared to a Normal (6) speed weapon with the same stats for 100-150M.
In the long run, don't waste too much on scrolling a level 90/100 sword. Save up and start farming those Pieces of Time. A Reverse sword will always be better until the next set or a faster weapon at the same level is released (or Lunchboxes come back out). As for Stonetooth and Night Raven Wing, if you can manage the DEX requirement, you'll see a rise in damage. I'm DEXless, so it's near impossible without massive funding to reach 120 DEX to equip Stonetooth. With equips, I think I just broke 70 DEX. It's not easy, that's for sure.
It's best you just work cheap and aim for the Reverse sword.
