Ok, just to see what else is good, what are your favorite Animes/Mangas? I don't read much Manga, only FMA. But I do like to watch: FMA:Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Deathnote, Darker then Black, Naruto, and Bleach. Any others that are good?

Have you looked into Code Geass? Given your favorite titles, you might want to look into that.
Personal favorites here, yo:
Cowboy Bebop
Baccano
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Mushishi
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya [Season 1]
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Death Note
Welcome to the NHK
I'll dig up the recommendation chart later.
EDIT:
Enjoy. There's an even better one that lists award winners and famous/infamous series titles.

Should try seeing One Piece if you like FMA, Soul Eater, Naruto, and Bleach. It's mandatory if you like Naruto/Bleach you'd also like One Piece.

Ah, I almost forgot this thread wasn't just limited to anime, but since the guy did want to see recommendations of both:
Manga:
Given your other titles, the first recommendation that comes to mind:
One Piece. It only gets better and better after the Arlong Park arc. Might seem a little childish at first, but it's really good stuff.
You might also like Bakuman. Done by the same two bros who did Death Note, but genre's waay different. Still, it's a good manga worth checking out.
Now, some favorites of mine:
-One Piece
-Hotel (It's a one shot. Shouldn't take too long to finish)
-Hayate the Combat Butler/Hayate no Gotoku
-Mirai Nikki
-Yotsuba&!
-Ouran High School Host Club
-Mahou Sensei Negima
-Franken Fran
I definitely do like The World God Knows though, but I haven't read far enough to say if it's up there in my favorites yet. Watashi ni XX Shinasai! is also very nice, but not enough is released for me to say if it's a favorite of mine or not.
Ah: have you checked out the first FMA anime, by the way? I thought the point where it diverged from the manga did things very nicely, and was even better than the original source material at some points. Only things I didn't like were the changed up explanations about the homunculi, different person behind the seven homunculi, and the homunculi being really different here. Lust got really out of character at some point in the original series too.

Honey and Clover
Nastume Yuujinchou
Clannad
ef - a tale of memories
Sora no Manimani
Spice and Wolf
I need more action in my life.
Manga:
Bitter Virgin
Welcome to the NHK
Love Hina
Monster
I haven't been reading manga as of late so I don't recall many.

Why don't we get around to making a proper suggestion thread with all the big hitter shows broken down to genre and why you might like it? One day, maybe some day I'll get tired of spreading the love one thread at a time.
I'll be taking Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell with me to the grave. And Mushishi to my elder years at least.
Some of the best burning manly action passion:
Gurren Lagann
Black Lagoon
Baccano!
Trigun
Code Geass
Some of the best FFFFFUUUUUUU- GET OUT OF MY HEAD CHARLEEESSS!
Paranoia Agent and the movies Satoshi Kon has done
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Or I could just say watch the shows on that bigass chart. All the ones I've seen from it have not disappointed. I'd be interested to see that other one, Smooth.

I'll second the Code Geass recommendation for someone who likes the shows that you do. And I'll also second the big chart. The ones on that chart that I've seen range from average to amazing*, in my opiniion. You cannot go wrong with a show on the chart.
* With the exception of Gurren-Lagann, which I really did not like. But I'm an exception. Even though I don't like it, I'll still recommend it to you because it fits with the other shows you like.

Favorite Anime:
Cowboy Bebop
Peach Girl
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Bleach
Outlaw Star (Which I highly reccomend!)
Death Note
Trigun
Excel Saga
Some I would reccomend:
Check out Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, it's a bit more along the lines of Ghost In the Shell, but it was a great show. I haven't seen it in forever so if you find a good place to watch it let me know please!
Outlaw Star
That's all I got for now. If I think of anymore, I'll post again!

Relocated: The Anime Pro's unite!! Sub thread
Post your 3 favorite animes of all time!
Include: why someone might want to watch(strong point) and something, if anything that could use improvement.(weak point)
PPL can pick the same show as long as their strong/ weak reasonings are different.
(Optional)
Add a brief comment or point out anything about your picks.
 's for all!!
1. Pokemon
Strong point: Complex set of rules for fighting
Weak point: Series is still alive but quality suffers in later seasons
2. Digimon
Strong point: Team based story with lots of character growth
Weak point: In the season where the Digimon and humans begin digivolving together, every time the hero's power up, they become naked. (censored of course)
3. Naruto Shippuuden
Strong point: Finally, a show where all shinobi are not generic and evil!
Weak point: The previous part(Naruto) was taken off the air in the U.S before they got to the end.

Strong point: freaking hilarious
Weak point: none
Neon genesis evangelion
Strong point: its Evangelion
Weak point: DOES NOT COMPUTE

Mind slowing down on creating new threads? We don't exactly need the section flooded with threads from the same person. It's nice that you want to actively discuss stuff, but at least look on the front page. There's already a "favorite anime and manga" thread on SP.
Pikamemnon Wrote:Weak point: The previous part(Naruto) was taken off the air in the U.S before they got to the end.
Because the whole last half of the series is just filler.

I disagree, at the very end, there was a stituation at the Village hidden in the sand with Gaara and co. They did stop it at a boring point but it was also right in the middle of a multi part episode.
