Brilliant way to dispel the rumors spread by hater basement dwellers, in my opinion.

Yeah the product placement was definitely a tad heavy, but then again, who really cares? Notice it but don't fawn over it and potentially miss some other aspect of the video that's great.

You sound like this is the Bible and there is nothing more important then examining every aspect and disecting its importance. It is a music video...

I'm also an English major, so I tend to over-analyze EVERYTHING (I think I said this on the last page....) - my apologies for that! At the same time, consider that GaGa's goal with this video was to create what she calls a "pop event," which is not just a music video but essentially the ability to tell a story through the lens of pop music. That's not to say other music videos that focus solely on the music can't tell a story, but what GaGa does is take a genre of music typically considered "shallow" and turn it into a two-part, multi-layered epic that embodies her persona as an artist while taking strides in revolutionizing the music industry and standing up for LGBT issues.

I'm not a Bible preacher, but as an optimistic I tend to find facets to defend with everything. Obviously this takes a much more passionate tone when the subject is something I care about/enjoy. I'm sure most are like this so I don't have to go on, but yeah.

Please explain how Paparazzi and Telephone are any less "shallow" than other mainstream music.
