"What to buy" for archers~Guide + Questions

Idea taken off Sleepywood. Many people dont know what to upgrade so this will the place to ask.

To make things easier, it'd be best to post in a format similar to this(using myself as an example):

A few equip related things:

End Game Equipemnt-This means that this would be your final upgrade, meaning that once you achieve it, you'll never upgrade again. I would consider this list "semi-godly", meaning these items arent too hard to obtain but they're close to the best you can find out there to buy (most people who scroll better just keep it).

Hat: Zakum Helmet (this piece of equip is your endgame equip as it is. The question is just whether or not you'll scroll it)
Pendant: Horntail Pendant
Earrings: 13+ dex earrings
Bow: 115+ bow
Gloves: 15+ Atack SCG/BWG
Cape: 4/10 PAC/Pink Gaia
Overall: 30+ dex overall
Shoes: 2/4+ facestompers

Best Financial Equips-if you havent noticed, equip prices rise expontentially (in some manner) per stat increase. The difference of price for the 1 attack between 6 and 7 atk wgs is a few mill but its 300-400 mill between 15 and 16 attack. If you're on a budget this would be where to look.

Note: All prices are rough Scanian estimates. If other people from other servers want to throw their prices at me for the listed equips, that'd be welcome.

Helm: Zakukm Helmet (approx 50 mill). If that's too much, then 4 dex maros for 250-300k or 5 dex dark patriots for 1 mill.

Pendant: 2/2 or 1/2 pendant. Having extra hp/mp on it will cost more but not worth it if you're on a budget (90/90 range in the 25-40mill for average ones).

Gloves: 7 attack wgs (probably under 10 mill). 6 attacks are 5-6 mill and 8 attacks are close to 20 (double of 7 for 1 extra attack).

Earrings: 7-8 dex (20ish for 7, 35ish for 8. Its hard to find any lower because what are the odds of you failing 2-3 scrolls and not have the item break? 9 dex are somewhat affordable at 40-50 and then the big jump comes at 10 dex, being at 7x mill).

Bow: Kandivas-90+?, Hinkels-95+ (95 are a few mill, 99s are close to 50), Arunds-104 (4xish mill, 102s are 25ish, prices for bows are hard to gauge at times), metus-104, etc.

Cape: 2 attack black raggedy cape (2x mill) or if you're looking for a PAC, then a 3/6 (5x mill, compared to 100+ for 3/8). Alternatively, at lower levels, a simple dex cape would be fine as well (8-10 dex are around 15-20ish mill?)

Overall: 14 dex kismet, 15 dex tai/linnex, 16 dex pris/ades/arzuna (under 1 mill for the overall, 350k for scrolls. That's around 1 mill for
14-16 dex. You cant get cheaper than that. Note that tais, linnexes, and prises are hard to find so most people stick with kismets, adeses or arzunas). Alternatively, you can get a 20ish dex overall by hitting a 10/30% overall dex scroll and then 100% the last 9 slots. That's a "somewhat" cheap way and you get an extra 4 dex from it (though if you're REALLY broke, then 100% would be better). Though statistically, it should take 3-4 tries, you could be unlucky and take a lot more or get lucky and take a lot less.

Shoes: Clean shoes can be used up till 70-80 where dark wing boots are mass scrolled. 8-9 dex dark wings should cost under 10 mill.

Hope this covers most of the generic questions about equip purchasing. If there's something that I've gotten inaccurate/some suggestions on formating, please post and I'll look into it.

A z-helm would be good as it will allow you not to have to put more points into Strength to use an arund/metus (what base strength do you have? All those nice strength gears are going to waste with the kandiva, lol).

That brings up another point: Bow. That can use a major upgrade at 80. Assuming you spend 50 mill on a z-helm, you have 50 mill to get a bow, which would probably be a 104-105 arund. That's a 8-9 atk upgrade, which is more than any shoe can add (even at 3 dex/atk, you're gaining 24-25 dex equivalent in attack and its closer to 4-5 dex/atk at your level, meaning even more. You're not going to find 45 dex shoes anywhere xD).

In summary:

1. Z-helm (then you wont have to pump strength to use higher bows)
2. Bow (make use of the strength equips you have + major attack/dmg upgrade)
3. Shoes (cause they're clean and your dex can come from there. If you spend it all on your bow, then you can get 8-9 dex dark wings for now though I would say ultimately, you'd aim at 12+ dex dark wings, which are 25-30 millish I think).

At 50 I was wearing the Olympus and decided rather than getting an Asianic then a Hinkel I'd just get a Hinkel and go pseudo-strless until 80 and pump str for the Arund. I also thought of earning a Zhelm myself but the diminishing prices of Zhelms and the fact that I would have to switch my str cape out for a dex one and still have too much str made me scrap that idea. I'll use the cape to cap my str instead.

Its late night, my math might be faulty. 42 + 8 (cape) + 4 (overall) + 15 (helm) = 69, meaning 16 more points into STR for the arund?

With 70 mill for shoes, you can get quite a bit, actually. You can get 14-15 stat shoes (granted they'd be blue arnahs. We have a lot of those for sale in Scania and they're for level 100 so you wont be able to use them for a looong time). Then again, if you dont want to wait, there's always the facestomper option (though Im not sure what stat facestompers you'd get with 70 mill).

dont forget Face Stompers if you can afford a pair easy 2 attack and up to 5 dex.

I gave away my valuable scrolled items and what not before I left the States.

I plan to buy a Zhelm when i get a casa crow sold, i might try to scroll a better lvl 100 Overall, and the only better glove I would get would have to be 11+ att, because the glove I have is still equal to an 9 att glove for me.

yeah, I'd definitely say z-helm first. With a z-helm, you can then sell the 3/8 str cape for a 3/8 dex one (should be around the same price). Even with that tradeoff, you'd be 3 str short of a metus so I'd say go for a 2 str spiegalman and 4 str arzuna (scrolled of course) and pump an extra point. Then sell the Arund and buy a 108ish metus or something.

I dont really like that glove as it limits your options by a lot. If you want to use your bow and upgrade your glove, you'd have to find 2 strength points elsewhere and... yeah, that might cause problems.

Other than that, it looks pretty solid.

good to hear, but once i was able to get a Zhelm, i was planning to shoot for a 11x Nisrock. My base Str atm is 77, with my equips it is 91, so a zhelm would be just over 105, allowing me to use a nisrock. If i were able to find a good deal on a 11+ att glove i would probably buy it, wait til i LVL and add a point or 2 to get my Str to 105 even. Though, I might try and scroll a 11+ att 2 str red wg or a lvl 90 glove with 2 str as well. The main reason i have kept this glove is because it is equal to a 9 att with the 4 dex, but i feel as time goes on, it will be less than a 9 att. Thanks for the advice XD

I'd go for a 3/6-8 dex/str cape and perhaps 8-9 dex earrings. After that, I'd probably say getting a better raven/casa (112 are pretty common in Scania but Im not sure what server you're from)

Unfortunately, anything in Khaini above 104 in regards to Ravens is considered great. 112's are few and far between.

I was just trying to say that no Bowman ever needs to have an overall of below 20 Dex. This would not work for Warriors becuase they need the Accuracy from 60s, but for us Bowmen acc is worthless. Thanks for including it.

22-23 dex would probably result from hitting one 30 and then 60ing the rest of the overall. My own overall is 23 Dex, and that's how I got it.

I will definately consider upgrading to 20+ dex before 120, once funds prove to be sufficient after current needs.

my pot funds come out of apq, so i dont have that much extra mesos.
im thinking about saving up for a 7 atk wg -> 102 arund -> 2 atk black cape -> 30%+100%x9'd ades, but im not sure if that is a good idea or not.

also, are my 11 wdef 58 mdef earrings better than rose earrings?
rose earrings are 70 mdef on avg, 1 more than what my cecelia totals, but is mdef needed more than wdef?
