I hated being a summoner 18-.
I just made an Asura and I'm already doing things MUCH quicker than on my Summoner. D=

I just managed to solo the boss of GLB Hatchery on Master's, and got an S Rank. My team was 4 people, 2 of which died before entering the boss room, and the 3rd guy died after dealing about 1 bar of health from the boss and his monk, as well as having killed off the weakest of the 4 Ministers. I ended up beating down one more of the ministers and then ended up killing the Monk while fighting the boss, since he was coming for me and I kept abusing Windmill, Multi-Headshot, Steyr, and Revenger if he ever got close, and ended up downing him with a Western Fire as I was running back, and then it only took a few PvP combos to take down the boss. Loved every minute of it, and I only wasted around 7 HP pots, and 0 tokens.
And the leader of the party called me his hero.

So after playing all five main classes, I think I'm gonna specialize in Priest and Mage - meaning that I'll make all the subclasses on separate characters.
Woo!

Now you only need to solo kill him on King's. Good luck, and show us the screenshot of the kill.

Kevin Wrote:Felix, how do you pvp? I have a witch with a similar build to your's (no fire at all) and I have trouble setting up the aerial combo. Can manteau be chained into a combo?
Dunno, probably not a whole lot. I never chain anything to Manteau, except a ground Uppercut sometimes for extra damage. I almost always run/fly the hell away after a Manteau, since mine has a nearly 100% Blind rate. People go crazy after getting blinded. They often attack much more aggressively (OMG I CAN'T SEEE), so it's not pretty to hang around them. Quite easy to aerial combo almost any opponent. Either play mind games with them and catch them off guard or connect a Fang to their face. Dust'd Fang -> Uppercut -> Juggle is practically guaranteed success. I can usually get off at least one air combo per match. If I don't, it means I got destroyed. If I got off more than one, it means I probably destroyed my opponent (seeing as one air combo can take off 30-40% of certain opponents' HP).
My PvP game is all about confusion and trying to keep my opponent off guard. If they can't see me, hit me or know exactly what I'm gonna do, I have a much higher chance of winning. My entire strategy revolves around Manteau's Blindness. It's my trademark, really. It enables me to connect much more of my moves (like Broomspin, Fang and Chain Florae) and prevents me from having to rely on lame, cheap skills (like Furnace and Drill) like other Witches. I do very little zoning, as well. Acid Rain usually only comes out if I'm in a pinch (or I remember to cast it lol).

I died to Vangelis 3 times on Expert because NONE of my Rising Shots landed. I would always hit with both Windmill and Mach Kick, but then the Rising shot would go "pop" and miss him. EVERY TIME. pomegranate LIKE THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN ON EXPERT.

Well, party of 4 just got owned by Isadora.
I'm too chicken to go back in there until like level 37~40.

Well, if you hear the words "Katana Forte" RUN THE pineapple AWAY! She's either using her drop the sun on you attack or she's using spirit sacrifice.

Anyone free today and want to help me with some quests on my Battle Mage? I have to do Hatchery and some of Frozenheart, Bwanga and Ryku. They're all so painfully pot heavy solo on her, and I don't want to run completely out. Plus I've solo'd so dang much that it burns my eyes.
I'd really appreciate some company and help.

Just keep your distance from Isadora. She's very good at killing up close. If you know some combos in PvP, just know that they will often work on her after summoning, so you can chain her into combos as long as you can keep her from getting up. Also, if you see her stopping in super armor AT ALL when she has multiple summons out, run to the other side of the room IMMEDIATELY. The fireball can be dodged easily as long as you switch to the other side when it's summoned, or you go into the very corners of the map when its in the middle. I'd suggest you try and beat her by abusing your ice.
And I'll help your BM Felix. I've got 123 fatigue and 1 lvl to go before I hit 40 and get Wild Shot, so I'll help you out with some quests. I still have to do most of Thunderime myself. I'm currently just trying to get 2 more Oxidized substances, which I get get for 600k if I can managed to sell these stupid cubes and random crap equips.

You guys need to whale on her the moment you enter the room so she can't get spells off. That and get the hell away from her if she starts speaking a single word. Of course, if you see a flame circle appear on the floor, move opposite post-haste.
*Oh by the way, what's a good plain PvE Summoner build? I want to incorporate both Ancient Library and Ancient Memory in the build so she'd be a really self-sufficient farmer.

I just realized that you can summon more than one elemental. o-o I thought you could only summon one until it died, but you can summon more once the cooldown finishes. Never knew that.

Anyone have a suggestion for Frozenheart? I keep losing without even being able to damage the boss.

Go party that place. It's a really annoying dungeon because you have to fight 5 waves of monsters before you can touch charlie.

I got lazy at level 46. I've been soloing Ryku Master's for Kumis since then, and I've gotten about 20 Kumis so far. Then I remembered that doing 10 Labyrinth runs can net 20 Cheeses too. :X So I went back to Labyrinth. Except I hate that place to death because my revolver's shadow element and my other revolver is fire element, and my tragedy revolver is way too weak. x_x Gotta forge my Rude Boy Jack soon, but it's a pain gathering up seals.

Tada:

Not sure Ancient Memory would be really helpful even though the little summons are fixed damage. Feel free to modify as desired, your options are more train, Aukuso/Sandor/Freet, more zealous, Hulk/Murker, ditching Echeverria. As long as you get summons it's hard to screw up a summoner.

Oh hum. Yeah I don't have enough tools to even attempt zoning, so usually I don't bother lol. My manteau's only 3 so usually I jump around trying to uppercut people then get mauled in the face.

I've always wondered why people leave Zealous Creature at level 1. Is there a reason for that?

Cause its more important to have stronger summons than a stronger buff. The increases you get each level aren't really worth losing points from regular summons.
And I finally got to hang out with Felix and got to show him how much of a noob I am by dying EVERY TIME.

Fought a ranger that was insanely fast today, both movement and attack speed. Like, nearly Korean video level. I wonder if it was hacks or if it's actually possible to be that fast.
