Pogeys Time

Hey, Southperry. As most of you are undoubtedly aware, what many consider to be the greatest generation of Pokemon games will be relived on the 14th. I'm pretty excited, and I'm sure the majority of you are as well. I still haven't beaten Platinum, but I don't care. I'm ready.

Have you guys already thought of a team to use during your playthrough? Do you plan on limiting yourself as far as specific Pokemon or items go? Favorite generation? Favorite Pokemon? Favorite Gym Leader? Post pictures, jerk off to May/Dawn fan art, do whatever the hell you want. Let's do this.

For the next ten days, we let out all of our Poke-hype right here, in this thread. I will begin by presenting to you the greatest classics of Pokemon film and literature.

LOL what the hell Greg. I remember what happened when I made a thread like this on FLOWSION, except when platinum came out. Didn't go so well. But anyway. I'm gonna go with 3 of my old favorites FOR SURE. Totodile, Mareep, and GROWLITHE. If they include some of the crystal exclusive wild pokemon, anyway. If not, I'll just trade one of my own over. As for the other 3... one will undoubtedly be an HM MULE and the other 2 I'll decide as I go along. 10 days left mang, gonna kick ass.

Gotta squeeze in my main niggas Gengar and Blastoise somewhere. Other than that, I have no set team members.

'Course, I want to get it, but I really can't due to the fact I don't own a DS, plus my parents will yell the hell out of me "WHY ARE YOU BUYING THAT DUMB POKEMON GAME I THOUGHT YOU OUTGROWN IT!!!"

If I had it my team would include an Azelf, Flygon, Scizor, Infernape, Tyranitar, and Magnezone. Subject to change as I want to include a Spikes user in there somewhere (along with a Ghost) as I nearly fainted when my Flygon didn't 1hko a PorygonZ.

Yeah, I remember that too. I know I'm nearly a year late, but sorry for bashing on the new games in that thread of yours. I was still stuck in the G/S/C generation. ;-;

For those too young to remember G/S/C, you have exactly 10 days to beat them all. Even then, you'll only understand a fraction of the godliness each represents, as the true impact of these legendary games was only felt by those who experienced them upon their world debut, and understood how much they improved upon the R/B/Y of old.

My team:
The only Pokemon that I'll actually level up: Typhlosion
Fly Slave: Some random Pidgey/Hoothoot/Noctowl
Water HM Slave: Some random pokemon like Tentacool
Other HM Slaves: Some other random Pokemon, probably grass/ground/rock type for the other HMs
Any other legendaries I catch.

...And yeah. I usually do really well with only training my starter Pokemon the whole way through.

I'm starting out with Cyndaquil and Horsea. The pair are definitely going to be on my main game team. :S!
HM Slaves: Bidoof (Importing), Wingull (Importing)
Competitive Pokemon: Hoothoot, Chikorita (Breeding & Importing)

2nd was by far my favorite.

Started out with that sh'it. I still remember the first pogeymon I caught. F'UCKING SEXY SENTRET, WHICH WAS WHAT I USED TO KILL LANCE'S LAST DRAGONITE.
I plan to play my Soul Silver to the last drop. Talking to every NPC, doing every. single. sh'it. there. is. to. do.


My team is undecided, but 100% will feature a Feraligatr, Furret, and Ampharos.

Every thing after 3rd gen is automatic failure. The fact that they remade Gold/Silver is different though, that's 2nd gen. Yay for 2nd gen. Why buy when you can emulate. Not wasting money. Internet exists.
