DualReaver Wrote:I just went running around the GLB Hatchery, and I walked into this room. I started killing like normal, when all of a sudden I noticed a bunch of little otcos on the floor, with the red circle saying they were summons. So I ran off to go find the thing summoning them, and there was a huge eye called the Lotus Spawn. Next thing I know, I'm dead from just neverending squid. GG Lotus. T~T

That was one of my most hated parts of Hatchery, other than Vangelis and his hax HP regen AND manliest Monk NPC ever, of course. Kill the eggs before attacking Lotus Spawn. He'll keep respawning them, but it's better than letting them hatch.

I actually found him to be pretty easy to take down solo. o-o As long as I moved right, his Monk never got near me, just standing in a corner waiting for me to come to the left side of the screen. When it did it hurt like crazy though. >.>

So I'll start playing; looking for buddies to make it more fun Big Grin
My IGN is Darkmaniak, hope to see everyone around (specially you vic! XD)

It works now? Neat, I'll see you on one of several characters. What are you going to make?

I made a fighter, goin' for striker. I'll probably make a summoner too, maybe a monk XD you never know.
It's called Darkmaniak, lvl 11 for now

Have you fought him on King's yet? If not, then 3 words for you: have fun. Wheeeeeeeeeee!

If you did, it's because Gunners have it easy being able to Pew Pew Pew from a distance. It was also because I had a sucky weapon trying to fight him on King's, got an axe that gave me a ~50% attack boost hit for hit.
I can't seem to get this stupid item off the Blood Chamber boss. I've run it at least 10 times and he just won't drop it.

Have you fought him on Kings? He can regen faster than most lv 40s can dish out damage solo, especially if you can't clear his spawn waves.

@ CoB boss drop, just keep at it. It took me quite a while too.
Anyone have a good Asura build? I'm planning on trying out some Asura stuff.

Check DFOSource, I'm sure there are tons posted there. Don't ask for one though, just search. They get so many "make me a build" threads each day that users making them tend to be forever ignored.
Oh by the way, if anyone knows/finds a cheap Earthquaker recipe (leve 45 Axe. 2% chance to stun) under 1 million, I'll pay you in addition to the original selling price 150k just for getting it for me. Goggleemoticon

Alright.

Then I found a build that seemed to get some good feedback, so I based this off of that build, plus a few things that I've seen/know a lot of Asuras use.

But then there was also this one that I found that seemed to get good feedback as well that I didn't tweak.

Derp. It's hard making a completely new class. I have no clue what half of these skills do. >.>
And, to make it even better, DFO Source's wiki is being lame and so I can't look at any of the skills. Yay.

Is Murderous Wave the giant ball of white/blue energy that moves in a straight line and, when hits, causes damage like 50 times?

1. Wait, wut. Why does that 1st build have Zanbato Mastery? You're supposed to use Short Swords, not a Big Fcking Sword; those are for Berserkers.
2. That's Ghost Orb. Murderous Wave is a buff.

Because GS Asuras focus on close/midrange combat, making good use of their heavy defense (plate armor mastery). I wouldn't recommend a GS Asura for a player inexperienced with them though.

Murderous Wave is a buff that slowly ticks away hp from nearby enemies. Semi-useful, required for awakening/Mind Snap!/Deadly Enticer, but overall most Asuras keep it off except in PvP.

Read this, it offers a pretty solid build with the bare minimum amount of skills at the end.

Try DFO World Wiki, it is up.

If I recall correctly, Asuras have fixed damage, so it would not totally gimp them to use a Zanbato. For reference sake, Short Swords are commonly used for PvE and Katanas for PvP.

You misunderstand what fixed damage is then. They lose a bit of INT and a minor amount of cspd, but that's more than compensated for by the range and physical power of a Zanbato, especially with the heavy MP cost of their skills. A Zanbato lets them spam their skills more while simultaneously giving them more reach and basic combo power (XXX is very important when you run out of MP very quickly). Fixed damage means that it's ONLY buffed by STR/INT, so swapping to a Zanbato over a Short Sword or Katana doesn't really negatively impact them, but it's still not recommended for players new to Asuras.

But isn't Ghost Orb stationary? You send out a little orb with some lettering on it that flashes black and white.
I saw an Asura use some sort of attack where he sent out a giant orb of blue/white.

My bad, there was a major typo in that post. I meant to say, "it would not totally gimp them."
The floating blue/white ball of energy is Ghost Orb, it travels at a set speed based on skill level/number of runes used in a straight line. The move you're thinking of is probably Holy Amulet, which is an Exorcist skill, not Asura.

Oh....Nevermind then. Could've sworn they were an Asura. Oh well. Never really liked that skill anyway. Awesome.
That works then.

I changed the Zanbato to SS Mastery, then.

Anything else need changing?

Looks like a Chinese talisman? Holy Amulet from Exos.
